CALLER: Thank you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You\u2019re welcome.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I really enjoyed your Rush Revere series of books<\/a>. I just finished the second one. And I loved in the second one how you did the Stamp Act and you told the truth about that, and then Liberty did his Stomp Act.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that\u2019s what we try to do, Mark, we try to get the truth in every one of these books.<\/p>\n

<\/a>CALLER: Yeah, I really learned a lot in these.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that\u2019s also good. I mean, that\u2019s exactly what we\u2019re trying to do \u2019cause you\u2019re gonna hear all kinds of things about American history as you grow up. Some of them are gonna be true, and some of them are not. And what we wanted to do with this series of books is to make sure that young people like you learned as much of the truth of the founding of this country as possible. Because, Mark, if I can tell you truthfully from the bottom of my heart, I want you to love this country the way I do. <\/p>\n

I hope you end up loving this country and understanding what\u2019s special about it, and I hope you love it so much that you want to join all the other people when you get older who are trying to preserve it and keep it the way it is. That\u2019s why we\u2019re doing the books. And also to have fun. We want you to enjoy the stories. We\u2019ve written these books so that you\u2019re actually part of the story. The books take you right there, rather than just recite them and tell you about them in sort of a boring, dull way. So I\u2019m happy to hear that you love the book.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. They were great. And I\u2019d just like to say that it\u2019s amazing how we share the same political views. I love your show. I\u2019m a big fan of you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing) Ten years old and you love the show. We share the same political views?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yep.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s awesome. That is fantastic. How long have you been listening to this show, Mark?<\/p>\n

CALLER: A year and a half, actually.<\/p>\n

RUSH: A year and a half, and you\u2019ve picked up already on what this show\u2019s all about. You must be wicked smart. That\u2019s all I can say.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s obvious, just listening to you speak, you obviously are wicked smart. You\u2019re very articulate.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You\u2019re welcome. And the fact that you love these books, that shows what a great character you have. Your parents have gotta be really proud of you. Are they?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s good, because they should be. Now, Mark, do you have all three books? Do you have all three and you\u2019ve only gotten to the second one, or do you not have all three?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I don\u2019t have the third one.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Aw. Well, I think I can take care of that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you so much, Mr. Limbaugh!<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s my pleasure. I just need you to hang on so that Mr. Snerdley can get an address. Make sure you get your parents\u2019 permission for me to do this, too, okay?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. My parents — or my mom is actually listening to every word I say right now.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing) Cool! Excellent. So then, obviously, she\u2019ll grant you permission to receive the third book, and we\u2019ll throw some other stuff in the package. And I thank you. I\u2019m really glad you took the time to call, and it\u2019s a thrill, Mark. I hope you continue to love America the way you do now, okay?<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right. Now, don\u2019t hang up. Ten years old, folks. This proves the truth is ageless. And the truth is timeless. You know what else I\u2019m beginning to think? Every young person that calls, eight years old, 10 years old, 12 years old, you notice how well spoken they all are? Do you notice how articulate they all are? I\u2019m beginning to think, folks, that just reading my books helps to make these kids well spoken. What other explanation could there be? Well, their parents, obviously, yes. But, I mean, each one of these calls, every one of these represent a bull\u2019s-eye, folks. <\/p>\n

This is exactly the target market, if you will. These are the people we hope, the young kids we hope to reach, and of course their parents and grandparents, too. There\u2019s so much distortion of the truth of this country out there, so much distortion of the founding, and it\u2019s important that people learn the truth about the country they live in that they\u2019re gonna inherit, probably lead in some of these kids\u2019 cases some day. <\/p>\n

But I really do. You know, I do. I actively appreciate and love this country every day and the things that it stands for and represents and the opportunity that it presents to virtually anybody if they\u2019re willing to do what it takes to access it.
