RUSH: By the way, here\u2019s one other point that I want to make. You know, everybody — well, relatively speaking, everybody is curious and either angry or amused or offended, everybody is affected somehow by Brian Williams making it up, but when Obama does it, barely a ripple. And Obama lies about really important things, like the economy and the unemployment numbers, and ISIS, and health care. Obama told you 23 times you could keep your doctor if you like him. Obama told you 23 times you could keep your policy if you like it. Lied to your face 23 times over two years. Ho-hum. Let\u2019s twiddle our thumbs. Big whoop. And that\u2019s just one of countless examples that I, El Rushbo, could come up with.<\/p>\n

Obama has told some whoppers. I mean, from how many jobs have been created to when the recovery would start, when the recession would end, to any number of things. How many jobs are gonna be created, he\u00c2\u2019s just told one whopper after another, and where is the proportionate anger at that, compared to all these people just livid over Brian Williams making up the fact — I mean, he didn\u2019t make up events. He just put himself in them. I mean, he was at Katrina. Katrina happened. There wasn\u2019t a dead guy that floated down the street in the French Quarter. And there probably wasn\u2019t a suicide in the Superdome that he saw, but at least Katrina happened. All he did was take events that took place and insert himself in there, for the express purposes of mattering. He wanted to have an impact on the outcome. Obama just made things up out of whole cloth and deceived you for the express purpose of getting your vote. Benghazi, for crying out loud. There has been real pain and suffering associated with Obama\u2019s lies, and it\u2019s greeted with a ho-hum. <\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: Hey, Rush. I was an infobabe for almost 30 years, and I cannot get my head around what Brian Williams has done so often, evidently. There must be some kind of a serious mental or character or moral flaw there, because that is just not normal behavior on the part of either Brian Williams or Barack Obama to lie like that. It\u2019s not like anchor people don\u2019t get time and undeserved attention.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Susan, it\u2019s not just Brian Williams. Everybody at NBC knew he was doing it, and they even facilitated it. They made promos out of these lies.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, and I can\u2019t grasp it. I can\u2019t grasp it. I don\u2019t know who these people are or how they do it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me ask. You\u2019ve been an infobabe for 30 years. You\u2019d be fired, would you not, from your infobabe job if you had been caught doing this?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Fired, humiliated, destroyed. I can\u2019t even get my head around it, Rush. Unbelievable. There\u2019s something mentally, morally wrong.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, Susan, the amazing thing to me about this is that being the NBC Nightly News anchor apparently wasn\u2019t enough. In a self-esteem way of thinking, it wasn\u2019t enough. He had to make these events up in order to think highly of himself, I guess. I don\u2019t know. I\u2019m not a psychologist or psychiatrist, so I\u2019m not quite sure I understand it.
