RUSH: Danny in Miami, I\u2019m glad you waited. It\u2019s your turn here on the EIB Network. Hello, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Rush it\u2019s definitely a pleasure to speak to you, sir. I got a couple of points. One of them is basically echoing what you said. I actually believe the Democrats feel like they are gonna win the election, that it\u2019s not for them to lose and they\u2019re gonna actually win it. I think it\u2019s more of the Republicans, “Can they win it?” I\u2019m actually concerned. I\u2019m afraid, especially with the name Clinton, that people are just gonna vote for that name. <\/p>\n

My feeling is, in order for us to win this election, I think whoever the candidate is for the Republicans, they have to speak directly to the African-American population, to the camera saying, “This is for the African-American population: We\u2019re here for you!” Because the Democrats continue to make it feel like we don\u2019t care about the African-American population, which is far from true. I think that also, the candidate should be able to go to the minority districts and stuff and have their town hall meetings there. Not only in the rich areas, but as well as the minority areas, both Hispanics and African-Americans. That\u2019s the only way we\u2019re gonna win this election.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know what\u2019s gonna happen? By the way, I don\u2019t disagree with you here. In fact, your first point, that the Republican nominee or the candidates in general have to find a way to address minority community, you may have point with that. I just don\u2019t know how they do it. Do you remember the Wellstone Memorial?<\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: He was a senator, a Democrat — a white senator, nothing racial about it. Republican senators went to the Wellstone Memorial. They thought it was a memorial. It wasn\u2019t. It was a political rally for the Democrats. They were booed. They had stuff thrown at them.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: They had to leave, Danny, from a memorial with thousands of people, hundreds of people. It was like a basketball arena kind of place. They had to leave it because they were so disrespected, and all they thought they were doing was showing up to pay respects to a colleague who\u2019d been killed in a plane crash.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Correct.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So I can imagine if Republican Candidate A schedules a meeting in an African-American community part of town or area. You know, let Al Sharpton\u2019s guys get hold of it and have a bunch of people show up and shout \u2019em down so they can\u2019t even be heard. Shout, “Racist! Bigot!” They\u2019ll start throwing things at \u2019em like that. How can they even get a fair hearing when you know the left is gonna stack the deck and make it look like they might not be respected by even one attendee?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I understand that. But one of the things is — and you\u2019re right. If they go to the a town hall meeting, to a minority area, who knows what\u2019s gonna end up happening? But at least on camera, every time they\u2019re speaking, it\u2019s not just to all Americans. They should literally pinpoint it to the African-American and Hispanic community. Because, to me, it\u2019s just like my wife. My wife knows that I love her, but she wants to hear it.<\/p>\n
