CALLER: Hi, Mr. Limbaugh. Thank you for taking my call.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, my gosh, folks, I forgot, I didn\u2019t see, he\u2019s 11 years old, and he\u2019s a huge Rush Revere fan. How are you, Jacob?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I am great and I just wanted to wish you a happy Presidents Day, but I also called to ask you a question.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I love your books, especially Rush Revere and the First Patriots. What I want to know is what do you think about making them into movies?<\/p>\n

RUSH: We\u2019ve been thinking about doing that, Jacob. We\u2019ve been thinking about animation, some kind of cartoon series, full-length movie. We\u2019re still looking at all of these possibilities. I can\u2019t tell you with certainty that it\u2019s going to happen, but you can be confident that we\u2019re looking into it. Which would you prefer, would you rather see a movie or like an animated version, a cartoon?<\/p>\n

CALLER: A movie. A movie would be pretty cool.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/map>\n<\/p>\n

RUSH: A movie would be pretty cool. Yeah, well, it would, it really would.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, you just go through the steps on the show where like each chapter is like a different show, and Liberty definitely has to be in it. He\u2019s awesome.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Why. You just said Rush Revere is your favorite character. Who needs Liberty?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, Liberty\u2019s the horse and he can talk and he can go back in time.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s true. I\u2019m just kidding. Jacob, hang on here just a second, don\u2019t hang up, don\u2019t go away.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, we\u2019re back now to Jacob in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and I wanted you to hold on because I wanted to ask you a couple things. You liked the first book the best of the three?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, the second one was really my favorite.<\/p>\n

RUSH: But you want the movie made out of the first one?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. Well, any reason why?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, because it has a lot of information and it\u2019s fun to watch and read, so if you put it into a movie, you could learn while just having fun.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So each chapter you think should be a different section of the movie?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, you know, Jacob, that\u2019s pretty creative thinking for an 11-year-old. I mean, you obviously have an aptitude towards creative production.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You may not know it, but you do. I mean, if you have those kinds of thoughts about how this book could be brought to the screen, be it movie or TV, that\u2019s pretty cool, Jacob. That\u2019s really neat, that\u2019s rad, whatever.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You bet. How do you say it when something\u2019s really cool, what do you call it?<\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: Awesome.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Awesome. Okay, it\u2019s pretty awesome that you have that idea. You like all three, you\u2019ve read all three?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You have. Okay, well, I will tell you what, I want to send you the audio versions of all three, \u2019cause you probably don\u2019t have those.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, I don\u2019t.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, I knew you didn\u2019t. Well, I didn\u2019t know, but it was the odds.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You\u2019re welcome. That way you can hear me read the books so you can experience them again in a different way by listening to them, and that may even give you other production ideas on how to turn \u2019em into movies or animated versions or what have you. I asked Mr. Snerdley to get your address during the break. Did he get your address?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, he did.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right, cool. So you are all set up. So we\u2019ll get that out to you and some other stuff, too. We\u2019ll throw in some other surprises in the little goody package that\u2019s coming your way. And hopefully you\u2019ll have it this week.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thanks. May I make a comment about President Obama, please?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Sure.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I am very worried about where he\u2019s taking our country and how he is spending my future. I am worried that he is a coward who isn\u2019t leading and destroying terrorists. I am only 11, but what can I do to change this? I am not old enough to vote, so what advice would you give to kids my age?<\/p>\n

RUSH: What you can do right now is exactly what you\u2019re doing. And that is, you have these thoughts that have become fears. And you want to convert — you want to get rid of the fear. You don\u2019t want to be afraid of this stuff, so what you\u2019re really asking is how can I eliminate the fear? How can you stop why you\u2019re being made to feel afraid here. You can\u2019t look at this singularly. You have to look at yourself as one of many millions of 11-year-olds out there.<\/line>CALLER: Right.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: And most 11-year-olds are not paying attention to the things that you are. So you\u2019re always going to be a step ahead of them, if you stay on this path, Jacob, you\u2019re gonna be a step ahead of \u2019em. One thing that I would warn you about is not to take personally, A, if you stay interested in this and stay informed on it as you get older, you\u2019re gonna encounter people that are gonna be made, well, to feel a little nervous around you because they\u2019re not gonna know what you know \u2019cause they haven\u2019t taken the time. They\u2019ve got interested in other things.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And they\u2019re gonna try to make you think like you\u2019re worried about nothing or that you\u2019re fretting over nothing, and that you ought to just relax and have fun. Don\u2019t let people talk you out of your passions. Don\u2019t let people shame you into thinking that you\u2019re doing something that\u2019s not good or productive. You\u2019re gonna end up being a leader. If you stay on this path, and if you stay interested in these things and if you stay ahead of the other people that are your age, you\u2019re gonna be more informed than they are, and thus you\u2019re gonna more passionate. So you\u2019re gonna have a chance to lead people. You\u2019re going to have a chance as you get older to —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — persuade people, if you stay interested in this stuff. Don\u2019t hurry it. It\u2019ll happen. You\u2019ll get old enough sooner than later. And I know you\u2019re gonna get impatient. When I was your age I wanted to be older. But be patient. It\u2019ll happen. Getting older will happen to you sooner than you realize. And I would just stay continually focused on this stuff. And whoever it is that\u2019s helping you to learn, I would continue to trust them, because, as far as I\u2019m concerned, they\u2019re teaching you the right things, correct things. So if it\u2019s your parents or your grandparents —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, it is, it\u2019s my parents.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — or whatever, I would continue to trust them.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, my mom tells me a lot of stuff about the things that are happening on the news and politics and all that stuff, like taxes and all that stuff.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Taxes? (laughing) At 11, you\u2019re interested in taxes?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s cool.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think that it\u2019s not helping anyone, and his ideas are sort of in the wrong direction and is not doing anything about what is happening in America.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, a lot of people think of it exactly that way. I\u2019m not gonna tell you that you\u2019re wrong. You know, I\u2019ve never had an 11-year-old ask me this kind of advice. This is a first. So I\u2019m really ill-equipped. I mean, I\u2019m answering this off the cuff. First time I ever answered this. I know it\u2019s frustrating. Jacob, there are people that are 40 years old who call here and ask me what to do about it, and they can vote. They can do a lot more than you can simply \u2019cause they\u2019re older, and they\u2019re frustrated, too, so you\u2019re not alone in any of this.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a cliche that young people are the future, you know, when you graduate high school and then college, your commencement speaker will tell you how you\u2019re the future of the country. In your case it may actually be more relevant and true than otherwise would be because of the things that you are already interested in. You know, you\u2019re young. Who knows what you\u2019re gonna be interested in five years from now, but, if this stuff, if current events and the future of the country remain at the top of your list of passions, then I\u2019m confident you\u2019re going to be way ahead of other people your age in terms of what you know, and therefore your opinions that you\u2019ve formed, and —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — so don\u2019t let people intimidate you because of that. Don\u2019t let people make fun of you. Don\u2019t let people tell you that you\u2019re an oddball because you\u2019re not interested in the same things they are. Just don\u2019t be talked out of it. I think this is great what you\u2019re doing, and I\u2019m flattered that you like my books and they are a part of your thinking here. So just follow your passions, Jacob, whatever they end up being. And continue to listen to the people that you trust right now.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right?<\/p>\n
