CALLER: Hi, sir. Mr. Limbaugh, it\u2019s a privilege and an honor to speak to you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Great to have you on the program, sir. Thank you for calling.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I was wondering if you could help me out and maybe clarify something for me.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Ah, probably.<\/p>\n

CALLER: We\u2019ve been talking a lot about the Iranians and, you know, the threats they make and everything, and one thing nobody seems to ever talk about or ever mention is, let\u2019s say Iran does get a nuclear weapon —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — or weapons, and let\u2019s say they do bomb Israel. Don\u2019t they realize they\u2019d be killing just as many Arabs as Israelis? I mean, there are over a million Palestinians living in Israel, not to mention the West Bank, Gaza, and, you know, depending on the fallout —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, stop right there. Let\u2019s take your question segment by segment. “Don\u2019t they realize there are a lot of Arabs around.” First place, they hate the Saudis, and the Saudis hate them. The Saudis hate the Iranians almost more than they hate the Israelis. Number two, the Palestinians. I don\u2019t know if you\u2019ve noticed, but nobody wants \u2019em. Jordan doesn\u2019t want them. Iran doesn\u2019t want them. No neighboring Middle Eastern country wants the Palestinians, because it isn\u2019t about them.<\/p>\n

Everybody\u2019s got this belief that the Palestinians are beloved and cared for as this discriminated-against minority, but nobody wants \u2019em. The Palestinians provide the weapon to use against Israel. The Iranians hate the Iraqis. They wouldn\u2019t care. This is Shi\u2019ite versus Sunni. It\u2019s an argument within Islam. People have also said, “Don\u2019t they realize if they nuke Israel, that they\u2019ll be nuking themselves because there will be a retaliation?” Well, if you go read about the Twelfth Imam, courtesy of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, you find out that all of this is about the apocalypse. And they believe it. <\/line><\/p>\n

This is religious truth to them. The Twelfth Imam can only surface after Israel is done away with, and the Twelfth Imam is the equivalent to anti-Christ and so forth.<\/p>\n

Look, don\u2019t anybody argue with me here because I\u2019m not being specifically literal, but there are commonalities here. The Twelfth Imam signals the end of everything in a good sense, in a good apocalyptic sense, not a treacherous or a bad one. But if they believe that then the whole notion of retaliation doesn\u2019t matter and the whole idea of killing other Arabs doesn\u2019t matter. Next question.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Even if it would kill their own allies like in Syria, or Hezbollah in Lebanon? I mean, \u2019cause it would be hard to contain something like that. It would just be massive.<\/p>\n

RUSH: If the belief is there isn\u2019t gonna be a Syria at the end, if there isn\u2019t gonna be a Hezbollah, if there isn\u2019t going to be a Hamas, if that\u2019s the price for there is no Israel, we\u2019ll take it and rebuild.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hmm.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You can\u2019t make the mistake, like Marie Harf did<\/a>, we make a grave error when we project our own civilized sophisticated and religious beliefs onto them, \u2019cause there\u2019s not a whole lot that we have in common with them, particularly in any of this. Like Marie Harf, “Well, Ayatollah Khamenei, he would just speak for domestic consumption.” Ayatollah Khamenei doesn\u2019t care what his people think unless they\u2019re thinking of overthrowing him, then they either get killed or thrown in jail. But he doesn\u2019t run for election. There aren\u2019t any approval polls on how is the Ayatollah doing. The Ayatollah\u2019s doing great. Everybody loves him, \u2019cause if you don\u2019t, it\u2019s the last anybody\u2019s ever gonna hear from you. So he doesn\u2019t care about domestic consumption. <\/p>\n

But Marie Harf says, “Well, he just has to say “Death to America! Death to America!” Domestic consumption. Just like our politicians have to placate their base now and then. Well, he has to.” He doesn\u2019t have a base. He\u2019s got servants, slaves and you name it. That\u2019s why this stuff is serious. That\u2019s why people who are serious about this talk about it in the ways they do. It\u2019s why it matters that Iran not get a nuke, as opposed to one of our allies, it would be okay if they had one, the concept the good guys and bad guys. <\/p>\n

And one of the problems is that we have an administration that does not believe that we\u2019re the good guys in all cases. That we\u2019ve been the bad guys, that we\u2019ve been the problem, and that we need to be transformed, and that the people that think we\u2019re the bad guys have a point. And who are we to say they can\u2019t have a nuke? We\u2019ve got one. So there\u2019s no moral differences. There\u2019s a more equivalence and equivocation. This is dangerous stuff here, and let neophyte, inexperienced nimrods have control over it is really dangerous.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
