RUSH: Dylann Storm Roof is this guy\u2019s name. They\u2019ve captured him. They captured him 245 miles away from Charleston, South Carolina, and they captured him in North Carolina. He parked the black Hyundai under a tree. Either ran out of gas or just stopped to rest overnight or what have you, but he was captured and didn\u2019t present any problems upon arrest. Such a sad event. You know, every day, the news is just depressing. You gotta work past it, you gotta work through it each and every day. <\/p>\n

We here at the EIB Network are gonna jump to no conclusions whatsoever, and we are not going to try to make whatever happened here in Charleston, South Carolina, fit any kind of a narrative that we would want. We\u2019re just gonna wait. We\u2019re gonna back off, we\u2019re gonna wait, we\u2019re gonna find out what it is that there is to know about this shooter, rather than jump to any conclusions. Not even gonna make any predictions. <\/p>\n

I know that the left and the Drive-Bys are out now trying to hunt a Tea Party connection. You know that\u2019s happening. You know they\u2019re turning over every rock, they\u2019re doing everything they can to try to find a way to link this in a way that would advance their political agenda. And all I\u2019m saying is we\u2019re not gonna do that here in any way, shape, manner, or form. We\u2019re just gonna wait \u2019til whatever there is to be learned about this — his picture. He looks like a kid. So I\u2019m just gonna wait. We all here at the EIB Network are going to wait. <\/line><\/p>\n

It\u2019s just frustrating. It\u2019s anger, all of the emotions, just why? Why in the world would somebody want to do this? You go into a church and you sit and pray with people for an hour and then you open up, you start firing? I mean, this is just pure, unadulterated evil, for whatever reason. And it\u2019s inexplicable to civilized people. It just simply is inexplicable. <\/p>\n

Keep in mind, there are more people dead, this church in Charleston, South Carolina, than in the Boston bombing. I\u2019m just trying to draw a comparison here. It\u2019s real terrorism, if you want to look at it. It was certainly terror for the people in that church. So needless to say our prayers and condolences are with everybody on this. But it\u2019s just another one of these inexplicable cultural moments that has us all saying, “What is happening to our country?” <\/p>\n

Anyway, as I say, I don\u2019t want to go much further on this because anything further is speculation. Everybody knows the facts of what happened here. So just sit back and be alert and stand by and be ready for whatever the people who want to turn this into a political opportunity do with it. And you know that they exist. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, I was just thinking. We need to send the Shelby, North Carolina, police department up to New York. They caught this guy in, what, less than 12 hours? And the two convicts… I heard the two convicts in New York that escaped that were having sex with that guard… I mean, there\u2019s more stuff. Who would believe that? If you told someone that, who would…? (interruption) I heard they\u2019re in Mexico, that they may already be in Mexico, which means they want to come back and not get noticed. <\/p>\n

That\u2019s the way to do it. We ought to send the Shelby, North Carolina, police. I mean, take a look how fast they caught the guy. Obama\u2019s ticked, by the way. Obama basically said what I just said. He\u2019s not gonna comment on any details here until facts are known. He\u2019d like to, but he\u2019s gonna restrain himself. He\u2019s not gonna say a word about it, got the best and brightest in the FBI and local law enforcement are on the case. But he said he doesn\u2019t feel any constraints in talking about the emotions that are attached to the event. And he looks mad. <\/p>\n

He\u2019s got that Clinton lip thing going, a frowning with a downward smile, which is a very hard thing to do, by the way. And his point is guns. He made it plain. He said, “Once again, once again something horrific happens because of how easy it is to get a gun in the United States,” and then he said that things like this do not happen in other advanced countries. You just never hear about things like that in other advanced countries. You just don\u2019t have massacres like this. And his claim is that they\u2019ve all got reasonable, responsible gun control. <\/p>\n

And we don\u2019t and that\u2019s why these things keep happening, because guns are so easily available. I\u2019m reminded Trump and his announcement the other day where he reported some woman told him that she\u2019d been anti-gun her whole life, and then something happened where she lived, some criminals did some bad stuff. Oh, it was the prison escape. She went out, and she told Trump that her husband had always been a big gun guy, but she wasn\u2019t a gun gal, but now she has joined her husband.<\/line><\/p>\n

She\u2019s a gun gal, her husband is a gun guy, and they\u2019ve got a gun on every table, and Trump said that she told him, “Mr. Trump, we\u2019re ready to start shooting.” (laughing) So, anyway, at least the first political agenda item is now officially on the table, and it was predictable, and that is, gun control. Straight from the White House and President Obama. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you, Rush. Dittos. I can check off the biggest thing left on my bucket list now.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, thank you, sir. Appreciate that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I was observing this morning that the latest gun violence and some of the other gun violence that\u2019s happened. Almost every one of them has had some kind of mental problems. And nowadays you can\u2019t do anything about a person with mental problems. I\u2019ve had personal experience with it. But as long as they know their name, what day it is, and who the president is, they turn them loose on you. And you can\u2019t talk to a doctor and explain to anybody that the person is having problems. They won\u2019t even talk to you. They say they can\u2019t because of laws, and —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, wait a minute, it\u2019s worse than that. I\u2019ll tell you what\u2019s entrapped us. Tolerance. This concept of tolerance means we can\u2019t tell the truth about a lot of things, including mental disability, insanity, or what have you. We have to accept it. We have to be supportive. So we know somebody\u2019s not right, but we can\u2019t say that, it\u2019s discriminatory to say so. We\u2019ve got to be tolerant and understanding. <\/p>\n

So your example where you know somebody\u2019s not right, they got gun and they\u2019re running around mentioning people\u2019s names, if you go rat \u2019em out, you\u2019re the one that\u2019s gonna get in trouble, rather than serving a decent warning. I think this is a major, major problem that we face here. <\/p>\n
