RUSH: How are you doing today?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Fine. How are you?<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m fine and dandy, especially since I have a chance to talk to you. What did you call about, Matthew?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I read your books, I like them<\/a>, and since I\u2019m from Ohio, I was going to think about Lake Erie and since there was a major naval battle there in the War of 1812, I would ask if you would do a part of one of your books, if you do War of 1812, about the battle of Put-in-Bay near Lake Erie —<\/p>\n

RUSH: We\u2019re getting, which we love, by the way, Matthew, we have readers, young people like you are now sending in requests for events that they want Rush Revere and Liberty to go to —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — and write about. It\u2019s really cool, I have to tell you. We\u2019ve got young readers who want us to do a book on World War II. You have just mentioned the war of 1812 and the battle near Lake Erie. And I\u2019ve got others that want us to do a book on slavery, you know, what it was, how it started. We\u2019re getting all kinds of requests. What was that?<\/p>\n

CALLER: What slavery was like?<\/p>\n

RUSH: What what?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Slavery was like.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, you would be interested in a book on what slavery was about?<\/p>\n

<\/a>CALLER: Yeah, that, too.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that would be for the age-group that we\u2019re looking at, 10, that would be a challenge.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: But that\u2019s what we\u2019re about here. We\u2019re looking for truthful opportunities to present American history to people your age, so that you\u2019ll learn it and be interested in it and want to learn more as you get older. That\u2019s our challenge. We really look forward to it, and getting calls like yours is an inspiration. I mean, you\u2019re 10 and you know about the battle of 1812. But you want to see Rush Revere and the gang time travel back there. <\/p>\n

So I appreciate the request, and I can\u2019t tell you if we\u2019ll do it or when, but note that we have made a note of it ourselves, and we appreciate it, Matthew, very much.
