CALLER: Thank you, Rush. I want to tell you it\u2019s an honor to speak with you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I appreciate that, sir. Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019d like to have your opinion on Russia and Putin, as to we have 15 months left of Obama\u2019s administration. Where else are they gonna push and try to make, you know, aggressive moves and move themselves forward around the world while Obama just sits there idle on his hands?<\/p>\n

RUSH: I don\u2019t think that\u2019s… I think it\u2019s already underway. I think Putin —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I agree it\u2019s underway but, I mean, yeah, there\u2019s nothing to stop him for the next 15 months.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. Yeah. Well, you asked me what he\u2019s gonna do, or is somebody gonna stop him.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I think… They\u2019re gonna be more aggressive until the next hopefully a backbone administration gets in. There\u2019s no telling what they\u2019re gonna try to do.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I can tell you what they\u2019re gonna do. The first thing he\u2019s gonna do is sidle up to Iran and co-opt whatever oil there is in Iran for himself. They already have their own stocks, but, remember, oil is so crucial, if you can get… Like Putin already controls all the natural gas that goes into Europe. He controls the flow. He can shut it off whenever he wants. He\u2019s got blackmail leverage all over Western Europe, and he would love to get his hands on as much oil as he can, and there\u2019s a whole gob of it there in Iran — and Iran hates us.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s gotta go down there and sidle up with the Ayatollah Khamenei and the boys. One of the military leaders in Iran is routinely flying back and forth to Moscow. That\u2019s serious. And then you throw the ChiComs in this mix. The ChiComs are gonna need oil out the wazoo as their economy continues to grow. And what are we doing? We\u2019re building freaking windmills! I don\u2019t mean to yell. We\u2019re building windmills and solar stuff, and we\u2019re going all this New Age energy here.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s dire. I have been so frightened over these last two years of Obama, \u2019cause there\u2019s no stopping him. The Republicans, even if they were a mind to stop him, won\u2019t, \u2019cause they\u2019ve already taken impeachment off the table. But that\u2019s academic anyway because they\u2019re now working with Obama to make sure the government doesn\u2019t get shut down. Boehner and the boys are already working with Obama on a continuing resolution to continue fund whatever he wants.<\/p>\n

There is a story here in the Stack about the House, one way or another, getting serious on trying to do something with roadblocks in Obamacare. And that\u2019s because the House is in a state of flux right now since Boehner\u2019s soon to be out. But, yeah, there\u2019s nothing to stop Obama in what he wants to do. Not public opinion, certainly. That hasn\u2019t mattered up to now. So, I know. It\u2019s a scary thought. I\u2019ve been worrying about this ever since the midterm election was over. Anyway, I appreciate the call, Chris. Thanks much.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I do hear you, yes.<\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: Very good. I\u2019m a first-time caller. I\u2019m a little nervous, but let me struggle through my question here. Out of all the conservative candidates that we have, which do you think — and I\u2019m deliberately choosing my words this way. Which do you think is the most hostile and intolerant toward liberalism?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, can I rephrase that? Because those words “hostile” and “intolerant” do not describe the person that I would answer that question about. I know what you mean. You really want to know who among other candidates is most anti-liberal, is the most opposed to liberalism as part of his existence, policy and everything else? And there\u2019s one clear answer. Put your hand up if you know who it is. Ted Cruz. Ted Cruz is the answer to your question, Roberto. If you\u2019re looking for the Republican candidate who is the most steadfastly opposed to liberalism, whose agenda is oriented toward stopping it and thwarting it and defeating it, it is Ted Cruz. <\/p>\n

If that\u2019s your criteria. <\/p>\n

Now, if you want to ask, “Does that make him the most conservative?” That\u2019s another question. To a lot of people, that alone would make him the most conservative candidate of the bunch, too. The two probably do go together. But it doesn\u2019t mean he\u2019s the only one. There are some other candidates who are also anti-liberal in our field, both generally and issue to issue. But blanket, overall, I mean, an honest answer to your question would be Ted Cruz, pure and simple. Very clever of you, Roberto. I understand what you\u2019re doing out there, buddy. It\u2019s a very, very clever maneuver. You are a brilliant, brilliant caller out there. I know exactly what your game is, and I went ahead and played anyway.
