CALLER: Hey, Rush. Thanks. Good news. Bill Gates<\/a> is gonna be at Clemson University this afternoon I guess spilling his drivel to the students there, so at least he\u2019ll be spreading the —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Clinton University —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Did I say Clinton? I meant Bill Gates. I\u2019m sorry.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Clemson.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, Clemson University, yeah. He\u2019s gonna be there this afternoon.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: I thought you said Clinton University, and I said, what did I miss?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, although they could change it, it wouldn\u2019t surprise me a lot. Anyway, the reason I called —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — if I\u2019m not mistaken, isn\u2019t the current RNC debate system the one they fixed from 2012? Didn\u2019t they come out after the Candy Crowley thing and the George Stephanopoulos thing where they said we\u2019re gonna fix this because obviously it was slanted too heavily to the left, and yet this is what we wound up with again? Is this the best they can do?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Your memory on this may be better than mine. I don\u2019t remember that. What I remember them saying was that they were going to restructure the way the debates looked, like who got into them, because there were too many people on stage. Whatever they said they were gonna fix, they didn\u2019t, whatever it was. I don\u2019t remember them saying they were gonna let the left have such a strong hand in moderating. If you remember that, then I —<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I thought they were gonna do the opposite, that they were gonna try and fix it to where they had a more receptive host to the debates as opposed to the ones that were so —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Where are they gonna find those?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I think Fox is about as close as they\u2019re gonna get, and that\u2019s just another —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, they thought they did. I am sure they thought the Fox debate was gonna be a fix.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I heard someone suggest that you, Michael Medved, and there was a third that they were saying should host the debate. Maybe it was Cruz or somebody that said that, and I thought, well, that\u2019s an idea. That would be a ratings boost if ever there was one.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: You think so?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Why don\u2019t you guys get together and do it?<\/p>\n

RUSH: I don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Rush, come on, man, you can find one evening. You don\u2019t need to prepare.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, no. That\u2019s not it. I think if I moderate a debate, it ought to be a Democrat debate.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, that\u2019d be nice, too.<\/p>\n
