\nCALLER: The reason I called is I\u2019ve heard multiple conservative commentators say that if Trump\u2019s the nominee and if he asks Ted to be a VP that Ted shouldn\u2019t take it just based on Ted\u2019s own conservative principles. But I\u2019m thinking if Trump wins and offers Ted the VP, I think Ted should employ similar logic to what of Lyndon Johnson employed in 1971, you know, about J. Edgar Hoover. And that being Ted should say to himself, it\u2019s probably better to have me on the inside urinating out than for me to be on the outside urinating in.<\/p>\n

RUSH: From Cruz perspective —<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s what he should say to himself if he can\u2019t beat Trump —<\/p>\n

CALLER: — in the primary, what he should tell himself is the same logic as what Lyndon Johnson said.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, you know what, now, since you bring up that whole thing of veep and VP, it reminds me. I was wasn\u2019t gonna make a big deal, it\u2019s only two people, it\u2019s purely anecdotal, but I\u2019ve had a couple people tell me that would be a dream ticket. A couple people who don\u2019t want to have to make the choice of one or the other, would love one of those guys to be at the top of the ticket and the other guy to be the VP. A couple people told me that. No, not golf buddies. Just others. But maybe more.
