RUSH: Here\u2019s Jude in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Hi. Great to have you on the program.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush. How you doing, sir?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Good. Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Ah, what an honor. I thought I\u2019d never get through. It\u2019s taken over three years to just let you hear about what has happened in my life, which is great.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, here you are. Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: It proves the liberal left\u2019s theory on you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay.<\/p>\n


\nCALLER: My wife, now she\u2019s 27, but at the time she was 24. And when I had met her, when she was about 23\/24, I always talked about Rush Limbaugh, Rush Limbaugh. “I listen to Rush Limbaugh all the time,” and she was horrified. She goes, “Why do you listen to him? He is fool,” blah, blah, blah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Had she ever listened?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m sorry, sir?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Had she ever listened to me?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly. No, she had not.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And I remember at that time, ironically, you were talking about how the media says that you scare away 24-year-old women. So I laughed at the irony of that situation. I challenged my wife, who was my girlfriend at the time, and I said, “Hey, will you listen to him?” and she reluctantly agreed, and would you imagine? In one week\u2019s time she was hooked. Absolutely hooked.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No kidding. Normally it takes six weeks. We encourage six weeks here. But you pulled it off faster. She did it in one week.<\/p>\n

CALLER: One week, one week. You know, the first few days I didn\u2019t hear much out of her, and on her lunch she would listen from the monologue from like 12 to 12:30, and she\u2019s like, “Man, he\u2019s making sense. He\u2019s making sense.” And, sure enough, you\u2019re a regular topic. And, for three years, I just wanted to let you know —<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, it had to be culture shock.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What do you think she thought she was gonna hear? I mean, she hears all this just BS they say about this program.<\/p>\n

CALLER: She heard MSNBC, you know? She\u2019s since become so far right-wing. I\u2019m just absolutely proud of her. She\u2019s a big Cruz girl and Trump supporter also at the same time.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m happy for you. I\u2019m happy out there for you, Jude.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: ‘Cause that\u2019s gonna make a big difference in the relationship going forward.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Is there a chance I can ask you for a favor?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Sure. What is it?<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s taken over three years, I\u2019ve just been dying to ask you. Is there a way I can get an autographed photo of yourself?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Do I give autographed photos? I sell them, like Trump does.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing) I don\u2019t sell \u2019em. I don\u2019t sell \u2019em. I don\u2019t sell \u2019em.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Are you guys are married or not?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Do you have any crumb crunchers?<\/p>\n

CALLER: What is that?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Kids.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, I\u2019m actually holding my 11 week old son on my chest.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Tell you what I\u2019m gonna do. Here\u2019s the way we\u2019re gonna do this.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n
