BRETT: The never-ending confusion involving the CDC guidelines and masks and when you can wear masks and when you should wear masks and where you must wear masks and don\u2019t wear masks, all that sort of stuff? It seems that the more leadership talks about CDC guidelines and masks, the more confusion there is. Yesterday, President Biden issued a strong statement to the unvaccinated.<\/p>\n

BIDEN: Finally, those who are not vaccinated will end up paying the price.<\/p>\n

\"\"BRETT: What kind of language is that? “Finally, those who are not vaccinated will end up paying the price.” What price is that? Cases continue to decline. Fatalities are at an all-time low. Yet, we\u2019re getting mixed messages around the virus? When asked about the possibility of vaccine passports, press secretary Jen Psaki said this.<\/p>\n

PSAKI: It has not changed our view that the federal government will not be playing that role; the private sector may. And it may prompt the private sector, moving forward on actions, which is where we think it\u2019s appropriately situated.<\/p>\n

BRETT: I love this word “play” that Jen Psaki is very adept at using. So if you take apart what she just said, “It has not changed our view that the federal government will not be playing that role; the private sector may.” That\u2019s in regards to the vaccine passport. “And it may prompt the private sector, moving forward on actions, which is where we think it\u2019s appropriately situated.”<\/p>\n

So it may “prompt the private sector,” meaning “command the private sector.” Because, remember, if you go get on an airplane right now, they tell you that you have to wear a mask, and it\u2019s weird because they use this quasi-official sounding language about being masked on an airplane.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not a law that says you have to wear a mask on an airplane. What it is, it\u2019s an executive order from President Biden. But when you go into airports, you\u2019ll see, “According to the law, you must wear a mask in the airport and on the airplanes,” right? They have varying sort of messaging like that. No, no.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s an executive order, and he has ordered that you wear masks on airplanes, and the airlines have complied with that. They haven\u2019t… Nobody has stood up and said, “No, no. We\u2019re gonna be a mask-free airline.” They say, “We\u2019re gonna play ball with that.” So the idea that she uses, “It may prompt private sector moving forward actions” is the same way we\u2019re doing quiet diplomacy.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re just prompting.<\/p>\n

Then you got the president saying, “Those who are unvaccinated, they\u2019ll pay. Those who are not vaccinated will pay and pay the price.” Very, very autocratic, very authoritarian. Then she comes out with the soft soap there. Well, New York Governor Cuomo backed this up announcing that Radio City Music Hall will reopen at 100% capacity with one caveat: Only for vaccinated people.<\/p>\n

\"\"CUOMO: The magnificent Radio City Music Hall, 100% vaccinated, mask-free audience. This beautiful hall will be filled once again 100% at Radio City Music Hall. So if I\u2019m not vaccinated, I can\u2019t go. That\u2019s right.<\/p>\n

BRETT: So that\u2019s prompting. That\u2019s prompting a private concern. The governor is saying, “No, you can reopen, but everybody\u2019s gotta be vaccinated.” So you\u2019ve gotta carry your vaccine passport to go to Radio City Music Hall. How confusing it would be if Joe Biden were to go give a speech at Radio City Music Hall?<\/p>\n

The White House is saying we\u2019re not going to force anybody to do a covid vaccine passport, but but but but, you know what, in state level, Andy Cuomo says you gotta do it. You gotta do it. There is this incredible fear that has taken root in our country in a way I never thought we would see. It\u2019s a strange phenomena, because now you\u2019ve got people who are vaccinated and they\u2019re keeping their masks on and maybe keeping them on forever.<\/p>\n

There was piece in the New York Times yesterday that\u2019s emblematic of what this entire pandemic has done to our society, or at least a big section of our see to it. Begins like this. “Whenever Joe Glickman heads out for groceries, he places an N95 mask over his face and tugs a cloth mask on top of it. He then pulls on a pair of goggles.<\/p>\n

“He has used this safety protocol for the past 14 months. It did not change after he contracted the coronavirus last November. It didn\u2019t budge when, earlier this month, he became fully vaccinated. And even though President Biden said on Thursday that fully vaccinated people do not have to wear a mask, Mr. Glickman said he planned to stay the course.<\/p>\n

\"\"“In fact, he said, he plans to do his grocery run double-masked and goggled for at least the next five years.” Let me read that sentence \u2019cause you gotta really digest this. Mr. Glickman “said, he plans to do his grocery run double-masked and goggled for at least the next five years.” See, he\u2019s really committed. Rush predicted it. There are so many See, I Told You So\u2019s over the years.<\/p>\n

This is no exception. They created a fearful society with this pandemic even though it\u2019s safe by normal standards, people are still terrified. The Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies is its own vaccine in a way, inoculating you from liberal madness. Here is Rush talking to a caller at the beginning of the pandemic who benefited from a dose of EIB.<\/a><\/p>\n
