CALLER: All right. Thanks, sir. I appreciate you, Todd. Two parts. Yes. I\u2019m a mixed father. I\u2019m a stepfather (breaking up), and my daughter is being chastised. She is indoctrinated. She\u2019s called “a peach,” and I\u2019m also being chastised for being a conservative white man who… (breaks up) I… I apologize. But I\u2019m conservative. I\u2019m white, and I\u2019m raising a mixed kid. My daughter —<\/p>\n
TODD: When you say, “mixed kid,” what does “peach” mean? I don\u2019t know that slur.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay. Her… Her little friends call white girls “peach” and call anything that\u2019s not white “brown.” So if you\u2019re brown, you\u2019re brown. If you\u2019re white, you\u2019re “peach,” and she comes home every day (crying) and cries because she\u2019s “peach.”<\/p>\n
TODD: Yeah, and what I want to just —<\/p>\n
CALLER: To me, it hurts, because —<\/p>\n
TODD: Yeah.<\/p>\n
CALLER: — I\u2019m a conservative and our people are good, and they accept everybody. But because I\u2019m conservative, somehow, I\u2019m a racist. But for three years, I took on the role of stepdad to an African-American child who\u2019s also blended with Caucasian. Her father is not good, but I love her. I always will.<\/p>\n
TODD: I can hear it.<\/p>\n
CALLER: She\u2019s not my blood, but I always love her.<\/p>\n
TODD: Ryan, so, the clock is our enemy here. It\u2019s not that I\u2019m not interested in what you\u2019re saying. I\u2019m in fact deeply hurt by hearing this. I want to leave you with a thought. God Almighty made you and your daughter, and he really likes the color you are. In fact, when he made human beings, he said, “It is good.” It is good, brother. I\u2019m sorry that you\u2019re hurting and sorry for your daughter being pushed through this.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
