JASON: You know, Facebook decided to punt. (chuckles) I love this. This is like the Facebook Oversight Board saying that Facebook was justified in suspending a president of the United States on a common carrier public utility. I\u2019m gonna get to that in a moment because that\u2019s the best analogy. Clarence Thomas wrote something erudite, as he always does, on this.<\/p>\n

But for their oversight board to say, “Well, we looked at this, and I want to tell you, Facebook had a point. Um, we\u2019ll study it some more. They should come back in six months and decide if the ban should be permanent, but they can keep suspension on a former president for another six months. Just fine with us!” Are these people serving as FISA judges or what?<\/p>\n

This is a rubber stamp just like the FISA court has become a rubber stamp for spying or censoring your political opponents. I voted against reauthorizing FISA, and that was the reason. We live in a free country. There should be no secret courts that serve as rubber stamps to be abused like the Steele dossier was abused to get illegal warrants on the Trump campaign. That should not happen in a free republic.<\/p>\n

It happened here, and the media keeps sweeping it under the rug because it does not fit with their agenda of electing Democrats. Well, don\u2019t get me started on that. But when it comes to campaign finance reform, essentially the news media — MSNBC, New York Times, Washington Post, CNN — are engaged in what we call in-kind contributions that ought to be reported to the FCC.<\/p>\n

The promotion of Democrat and Democrat ideals is become so demonstrably evident that they are basically coordinating as corporations with one party. That\u2019s illegal campaign finance. Corporations can\u2019t contribute. Why do media corporations get an exemption from contributing to Democrats? XYZ corporation can\u2019t. They can have their employee set up a PAC, but they can\u2019t do the bidding. But media companies do. They\u2019re corrupt. That\u2019s why. They are corrupt.<\/p>\n

They\u2019re not just wrong. They\u2019re not just liberal. The people that deliberately lie about Covington, lie about James O\u2019Keefe, lie about FISA, lie about Russia are corrupt individuals, and they ought to be held accountable. But I digress. I want to get… I want to get to Rush\u2019s take on this because it\u2019s really important. I remember when he deleted his Twitter account. Here\u2019s what El Rushbo had to say.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I saw that Twitter banned Trump. They suspended his account. They canceled him! They wiped him out. They erased him. They said he\u2019s sayonara. So I called Kathryn. I said, “We gotta get outta Twitter. This is unacceptable. We need to cancel the account. We need to do whatever we have to do to get out of it. Just go in there and shut it down.” She said, “It\u2019s a great idea.” So we did, and then the next thing I know, it\u2019s being reported that Twitter canceled me.<\/p>\n

I said, “Well, this is fabulous.” So then here came the emails from people I haven\u2019t heard from in the Drive-By Media who have my address and some others. “Did Twitter cancel you or did you cancel them? What\u2019s the truth?” I didn\u2019t reply to any of it, like I don\u2019t reply to any inquiries. There was nothing new about that. I don\u2019t reply to any Drive-By Media inquiries of me.<\/p>\n

So I just let it go, and then eventually one of these bright-eyed, bushy-tailed media people got the wise idea to call Twitter and ask them, and the Twitter spokesman said, “No, the user canceled the account. We didn\u2019t cancel it.” So then there was great relief. There was great relief among the Drive-By Media. Twitter did not cancel me. I suspended my own account.<\/p>\n

That then created a joyous media reaction, and we have a montage to illustrate how. You know, increasingly, folks, I don\u2019t like taking up broadcast time with media comments about me because they happen every day, and it\u2019s… You know, when the program was new and the media was talking about it, that was a big deal. That helped promote the program.<\/p>\n

This program can\u2019t get much bigger than it is, and so we don\u2019t need to do this to promote the program. It\u2019s gotta have some kind of news value or otherwise entertainment value. We don\u2019t just do it for the heck of it. That\u2019s why I saved it here \u2019til the last hour. But this is the montage from Saturday, Sunday, and even this morning.<\/p>\n

MIKE MARZA: Rush Limbaugh\u2019s account is no longer available. The influential talk show host deactivated that account himself.<\/p>\n
