We\u2019re calling it our EIB High Note, and today\u2019s High Note is about Leah and her Labrador Brea. So you got Leah and Brea. The two work together bringing comfort to kids in the hospital dealing with serious health issues.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.baynews9.com\/fl\/tampa\/news\/2021\/04\/26\/everyday-hero--this-hero-has-a-canine-hero-of-her-own\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-394500 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/APP-042721-Leah-Frohnerath-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/APP-042721-Leah-Frohnerath-1.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/APP-042721-Leah-Frohnerath-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/APP-042721-Leah-Frohnerath-1-480x270.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a>This is something that Leah herself can personally relate to, having been diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a child. Part of the therapy involved working with animals, which was a game-changer for her outlook and removed some of the fear. Her Lab, Brea, was trained by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cci.org\/\">Canine Companions for Independence<\/a>, and now they accompany kids in the hospital to scary appointments when they need to get an IV, an MRI, or even a CAT scan.<\/p>\n<p>Leah explains it this way.<\/p>\n<p>LEAH FROHNERATH: Just being a dog in a hospital sometimes changes the whole vantage point of what they\u2019re thinking about, because it was just a culmination of all the things that I felt was the best medicine for kids.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.baynews9.com\/fl\/tampa\/news\/2021\/04\/26\/everyday-hero--this-hero-has-a-canine-hero-of-her-own\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-394501 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/APP-042721-Leah-Frohnerath-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/APP-042721-Leah-Frohnerath-2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/APP-042721-Leah-Frohnerath-2-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/APP-042721-Leah-Frohnerath-2-480x270.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a>BRETT: It\u2019s absolutely an incredible effort that\u2019s being made there, because it\u2019s tense enough when you\u2019re an adult going in for a treatment or going in for a test. Being a child and having to go in &#8212; especially if it\u2019s on an ongoing basis or a regular basis &#8212; has certainly gotta be frightening and would make you feel upset. The fact that Leah is doing this with her Labrador, Brea, is phenomenal.
