RUSH: John, Orlando, Florida. Welcome, sir. I appreciate your patience. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Mr. Limbaugh. It\u2019s a pleasure to talk with you today.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I\u2019ll get right to my point, Mr. Limbaugh. I\u2019m 45 years old. I\u2019ve never voted before, never even been registered to vote. The closest I came was to voting for Perot in 1992. I guess I just never felt like there was a candidate, you know, that represented me or who would actually do what I thought needed to be done for this country, and I\u2019m proud to say that two weeks ago by absentee ballot I voted for Mr. Trump. I\u2019m just tired of these career guys, these career politicians running the country into the ground. You know, there\u2019s 535 people in Congress who turned being a politician into a 30- or 40-year career, and they expect us to just bow down and do what they say. All the while they make themselves exempt from these laws that they pass and —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me ask you a question about your not voting, \u2019cause I hear you.<\/p>\n


\nCALLER: Sure.<\/p>\n

RUSH: We hear from people a lot here over the years who tell me that whatever election is gonna be their first one.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And you said that you never voted. Did you register or didn\u2019t even do that?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I had never even been registered.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, you didn\u2019t register and you didn\u2019t vote because there was nobody that really reflected what you believed. Was there nobody —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — you wanted to vote against in all that time? Was there nobody that worried you so much that you thought it wise to register to vote against \u2019em?<\/p>\n

CALLER: There is some… You know, there\u2019s some wisdom in that. But I think for me, I just felt like, you know, the Republican and Democrat parties have gotten so close over the years, to me it was kind of like six of one, half a dozen of the other. So —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I don\u2019t blame you for thinking that. I mean, it\u2019s hard to draw a line of distinction between the two parties on immigration. We hear this a lot, folks, over the years. From Perot we heard it. “I have never voted, Rush! I\u2019ve never voted in my life, but I\u2019m signing up now. I\u2019m voting for Trump.” It\u2019s anecdotal. We don\u2019t try to attach any kind of meaningful weight to it. But still, this guy wanted to call and tell us. That\u2019s that.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
