TODD: It\u2019s my contention that you\u2019re watching a flipping of society, and I contend that it began in March of last year and that someone pressed the “go” button on tyranny, and I think that we can see this in all sorts of forms, as we\u2019ve talked about on the program today. Corporate America is going full woke. So many of the companies are participating in this madness.<\/p>\n
Some of them, you\u2019d expect. Silicon Valley, you\u2019d expect. You know, I\u2019ve spent some time in corporate America. In fact, I saw once a tweet. Someone said, “Oh, no! Herman\u2019s filling in for Rush. All we need — a Fortune 500 guy. No thanks.” Well, look. I\u2019m really proud of the time I spent working in tech, and I will tell you this.<\/p>\n
It was also an incredible learning experience when I went from the world of startups to the world of being the chief digital strategist at the RNC. I\u2019ll never forget the series of emails I got. It went like this: “You lied to us! We feel betrayed! You didn\u2019t tell us you were one of those,” and I lost friends on the spot. There\u2019s been a long march through institutions.<\/p>\n
And that\u2019s ending up in advertising and media and news. And it\u2019s thicker than you would know. And people don\u2019t even know. I mean, there are people who work in the news business, and they don\u2019t even know how thick it is in there. There\u2019s a woman I really like. She\u2019s a liberal. She did a news report once. I was there.<\/p>\n
