RUSH: We move on now to the Never Trumpers. The Never Trumpers, folks, I have to tell you… These are the so-called conservatives who hated Trump on the basis of his morality. That\u2019s what they said. “Trump\u2019s morality is just unacceptable. It\u2019s so far beneath what we would tolerate. It\u2019s just… Ew! We can\u2019t stand to be in the same room with Donald Trump. He\u2019s a pig, an ogre.”<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

They just went on and on and on with it, and what has happened is kind of funny, but, at the same time, it\u2019s a little sad, puzzling. All of it is predictable. About half of the Never Trumpers that are speaking up claim to be shocked that Biden is going so hard left. Now, this, folks, is one of the many reasons why I never respected these people.<\/p>\n

They\u2019re not this dumb! But then maybe they are. You know, that\u2019s the overriding possibility. They could be this unaware. They could be this ignorant. Some of them are saying they are stunned at how rapidly Biden is going hard left, and they\u2019re saying there\u2019s no stopping him now so you may as well just get used to it.<\/p>\n

The other half, or a close percentage of half, of the Never Trumpers are admitting that they\u2019re leftists and they have been forever. They were originally Democrats and then they became conservatives \u2019cause of Reagan, and then that didn\u2019t work out. But they admit to loving left-wing money. See, that\u2019s the key.<\/p>\n

They loved big-time left-wing donors to their phantom, not-in-existence-yet magazines, or blog sites, or wherever it is that they want to put down stakes and grow some supposed media enterprise. They can\u2019t do it without money that they don\u2019t have. So they have turned into people that love left-wing money. They absolutely love it, and so that\u2019s what we are dealing with in terms of who these people are.<\/p>\n

Now, there is a story in the New York Times. “Lincoln Project…” That\u2019s the Never Trumpers. “Lincoln Project Cofounder Accused of Grooming Young Men for Sex.” (Gasp!) Who could this be? Does the name John Weaver ring a bell? “Political consultant John Weaver is accused of soliciting young men for sex in exchange for jobs.” This is according to author Ryan Girdusky.<\/p>\n

“The anti-Trump group The Lincoln Project issued a scathing statement on Sunday, distancing itself from … Weaver\u2019s ‘deplorable and predatory behavior\u2019…” Deplorable? They\u2019re calling one of their own a deplorable”? No way! Yet it is right there. They\u2019re calling one of their own a “deplorable in the New York Times! Oh, whoa, man. What an insult this is for Weaver!<\/p>\n

“…\u2019deplorable and predatory behavior\u2019 after a New York Times report detailed a history of alleged predatory behavior. The Lincoln Project disavowed its co-founder after a Times report featured interviews with 21 men who accused Weaver of sending ‘unsolicited and sexually provocative messages online to young men, often while suggesting he could help them get work in politics,\u2019 including an alleged victim who was only 14 years old.”<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Now, remember, John Weaver was the cofounder, one of the head grand pooh-bahs running around for the last four years telling everybody what a reprobate Donald Trump is. “Donald Trump doesn\u2019t have any business being president. He\u2019s got horrible morality! We can\u2019t have somebody like this representing the Republican Party.”<\/p>\n

These people in the Never Trump crowd were hell-bent on disqualifying Trump because of his lack of morality — his lack of decency — they said. We can\u2019t have someone like this undermining the constitutional requirements for the chief executive! In its statement, the Lincoln Project wrote, “John Weaver led a secret life that was built on a foundation of deception at every level. He is a predator, a liar, and an abuser.<\/p>\n

“We extend our deepest sympathies to those who were targeted by [John Weaver\u2019s] deplorable,” there it is again, “and predatory behavior. We are disgusted and outraged that someone in a position of power and trust would use it for these means.” Grab sound bites number 5 and 6. Here\u2019s Weaver on March 7, 2017, Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island, during a panel discussion on the future of the Republican Party.<\/p>\n

WEAVER: To continue to try to divide us based on, uhhh, some false narrative is morally wrong. He\u2019s degrading the White House! He\u2019s not telling the truth. That\u2019s not conduct that anybody around here would excuse. You don\u2019t accept it with your five girls. I don\u2019t accept it with my two kids. Why do we want to accept that as president?<\/p>\n

RUSH: There he is. John Weaver, who has just been excommunicated from the Never Trumpers because of his “predatory and deplorable” behavior towards young men, October 20, 2020, 60 Minutes. Lesley Stahl said to John Weaver, “You feel the Republican Party has betrayed you.”<\/p>\n

WEAVER: We\u2019ve gone from caring about character, rule of law, defending the Constitution. Imagine if you travel the country for 30 years fighting for Republican principles and you learned it was all a lie.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Isn\u2019t that just juicy? Speak of juicy, you\u2019ve got… I can\u2019t find it. I had it right here. You\u2019ve got the George Conway sound bite, right? (interruption) Just arrived. Okay, stand by on it, because George Conway… You all know who George Conway is? He\u2019s the husband of Kellyanne Conway. He\u2019s out there ripping Trump for his immorality and his indecency and he\u2019s embarrassing.<\/p>\n

Oh, my God. That\u2019s just exactly the kind of stuff that Weaver\u2019s been saying here. “George Conway…” This headline, by the way, is from TheHill.com. “George Conway on John Weaver allegations: ‘I didn\u2019t really know John very well.'” Ahem. (sputtering impression) “This is all kind of a bit of a surprise to me. I didn\u2019t know John that well.” Oh, isn\u2019t this convenient!<\/p>\n

“Conservative attorney George Conway distanced himself from [the “predatory and deplorable”] Lincoln Project founder John Weaver following a new report alleging Weaver sent unwanted messages to young men, some of which were sexual in nature.” Here\u2019s Conway. Here\u2019s the sound bite.<\/p>\n

CONWAY: Yeah, it\u2019s terrible and awful and appalling and unfathomable. (sputtering) I — I — I didn\u2019t know John very well. I, frankly, own spoke to him a couple of times on the phone early on in the Lincoln Project.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh.<\/p>\n

CONWAY: Um, I just… (sputtering) I — I — I… It\u2019s almost… I don\u2019t even know what to say. It\u2019s just… It\u2019s just terrible.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What do you mean, you don\u2019t know what to say?<\/p>\n

CONWAY: And, um… (silence) I… It leaves me speechless, frankly.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You don\u2019t know what to say? What you been saying for four years about Trump? This is the founder of this organization that you\u2019re a proud member of, and you claim you didn\u2019t know this about the guy? And when you find out about it, you don\u2019t know what to say other than it\u2019s…?<\/p>\n

Oh, man. Oh, man.<\/p>\n

Anyway, these are the people… Half of these people have now decided they can\u2019t believe how fast Biden\u2019s gone left; the other half say, “You know, I don\u2019t care. I don\u2019t care, \u2019cause I love left-wing money. We couldn\u2019t get by without it,” which they have been demonstrating the past four years.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (George Conway impression) “I didn\u2019t know John very well. I didn\u2019t know the guy was out there hitting on young guys. I certainly would have objected if I had known about it. But we gotta get back to Trump and what a rotten SOB Donald Trump was. Donald Trump was ruining America, not John Weaver. John Weaver\u2019s a nobody stink bomb. We don\u2019t need people like that around.”<\/p>\n

This is just incredible. They all knew, and every one of them… Some of these little sycophants are out there are sucking up what little they can to maintain their warped status in a corrupt organization everybody calls the deep state or the establishment or what have you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: We just played an audio sound bite of the estimable George Conway, who said (sputtering), “I didn\u2019t know this Weaver guy very well at all! I — I — I — I — I — I\u2019ve just… I — I — I didn\u2019t know him! I don\u2019t know him, and I\u2019ve not…<\/p>\n

“No, I\u2019ve not… I\u2019ve not had that new ChiCom way of testing for COVID. No, I don\u2019t mean that. I never knew the guy! I mean, Weaver might know about that — that thing that the Chinese are doing. I don\u2019t know anything about it. I don\u2019t know about that! I don\u2019t know… I don\u2019t know about Weaver.<\/p>\n

“I don\u2019t know Weaver very well at all. I really don\u2019t know the guy. Oh, it\u2019s just horrible.” The guy only wrote an op-ed with Weaver a few weeks ago, few days ago. (sigh) But it\u2019s worse than that. The leaders of this bunch are not just John Weaver. They are George Conway, Steve Schmidt — who ran McCain\u2019s campaign. That\u2019s another thing.<\/p>\n

The McCain family loves them some Weaver! They have loved this guy. McCain loved Weaver. Weaver worked for McCain. Weaver was at the top of the flowchart on the Steele dossier finding its way into the American news media. John Weaver was, and he worked for McCain. The McCain family loves them some John Weaver.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t know if they still do, but they did, and then there\u2019s another one in there named Rick Wilson. Now, these guys — Rick Wilson, Steve Schmidt, George Conway, and John Weaver — have appeared on MSNBC 17 times in the three weeks since the Weaver story broke and they were not asked about the allegations one time, and they were on MSNBC 17 times.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Here\u2019s the headline. This is from the Daily Caller: “MSNBC Did Not Ask Lincoln Project Founders About John Weaver Despite Booking Them 17 Times After The Story First Broke<\/a> — John Weaver of the Lincoln Project has been accused by multiple men, including a minor, of sexual harassment. Lincoln Project co-founders Steve Schmidt, Rick Wilson, and George Conway have appeared on MSNBC 17 times since the story first broke on January 11.<\/p>\n

“They were not asked about the allegations [once!] during any of their interviews.” Now, Ryan Girdusky, whose tweet we shared with you earlier, said that they did know. “Members did know. Young men approached them about the accusations. Members knew I was writing the story and warned John Weaver” about it. So the New York Times writer said they knew about it even though MSNBC didn\u2019t ask them.<\/p>\n

So now what\u2019s next? Well, they gotta change names. They can\u2019t run around with “the Lincoln Project,” \u2019cause that\u2019s gonna be tied to Weaver now. They can\u2019t have that! You can\u2019t have a bunch of people think that the Lincoln Project features a bunch of pedophiles, so you have to change the name. Here\u2019s what they\u2019re doing.<\/p>\n

The headline: “Lincoln Project Cofounder Starting New Podcast Company.”<\/a> Ron Steslow, and I don\u2019t know that\u2019s how you pronounce it. It\u2019s S-t-e-s-l-o-w. He might pronounce it Stez-low. He might pronounce it Stee-low. He might pronounce it Ste-low. He could pronounce it Stis-low. I have no idea; so I have to go all these various pronunciations to get it right \u2019cause I\u2019m not trying to be wrong.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s “a political strategist who hosted The Lincoln Project\u2019s podcast, is launching a new podcast company called Politicology, promising “politics without the blinders.” Blinders? Blinders? What do blinders have to do with anything? You mean Weaver was wearing blinders; so now you gotta do a new podcast “‘without the blinders.\u2019 Why it matters…”<\/p>\n

This is an Axios story, so you get these capsulating paragraphs. “Why it matters: His venture could capture large audiences seeking to understand America\u2019s troubled political undercurrents.” BS. Anybody who wants to “understand America\u2019s troubled political undercurrents” is already listening to this show. You don\u2019t need a podcast from a bunch of people that have already been corrupted by the deep state, the establishment, what have you.<\/p>\n

\"\"“The big picture: It comes amid transition and crisis for Lincoln Project, a hugely successful anti-Trump advocacy group…” They are successful because they got a bunch of rich left wingers to give them money. They are not richly successful in the marketplace. See, this is… Folks, this is such an important distinction. In the marketplace, they are not successful.<\/p>\n

They are successful within the boundaries of the deep state or the establishment, whatever term you like. The wealthy and accomplished within the deep state are taking care of people like these guys, but they couldn\u2019t put together 10 dimes if they had to in the private sector, or what we\u2019ve always known as the private sector.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s really the competitive battle that exists in America now. You have the traditional middle class trying to claw its way up to the upper-middle class, which is the way the rules of this country\u2019s economy have always been played by. You work hard, you try your best, you try to play by the rules as much as you can. You\u2019re rewarded for it. You innovate, you\u2019re an entrepreneur, whatever.<\/p>\n

Well, that\u2019s now a separate market. The people in the establishment, the elites, they want no part of that. They are attacking that. That\u2019s who they are. That\u2019s what the GameStop story was really all about: A bunch of normalish people found a way to become billionaires inside of a week. “We can\u2019t have that! We can\u2019t have people earning enough money in one day to put their kids through college for four years.<\/p>\n

“That\u2019s what we offer.” So they\u2019re out there attacking — they literally are attacking — the middle class. The middle class is who is being aimed at in this battle taking place in the United States, and I\u2019m just here to tell you that these clowns at the Lincoln Project, if they were restricted… Why do you think they abandoned the middle class? Why do you think they did what they did?<\/p>\n

Why do you think they threw in with the establishment? Because they knew once Trump was elected, they were out. Seventy-five million Americans voted for Donald Trump. That\u2019s a signal to them that they don\u2019t have a place in that group of people. So they made tracks out of it, and they pulled up stakes, put down stakes with people in the establishment and the deep state.<\/p>\n

\"\"Again, whatever you want to call it. I\u2019m not wedded to deep state just so you know. That\u2019s why I keep giving myself options here. I mean, John Weaver worked for Democrats. People forget that between running McCain\u2019s two campaigns in 2000 and 2008, Weaver worked for the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee. That\u2019s in the House.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s George Conway, whose daughter… The poor girl. A constant meltdown on social media. And now they\u2019re changing the name.
