<\/p>\nRUSH: This is Kommie Harris. Kommie Harris last Thursday was in Huntington, West Virginia. She\u2019s vice president. She\u2019s on WSAZ-TV News, and this is what she said about work for coal workers who are gonna lose their jobs due to the Biden administration\u2019s climate plan.<\/p>\n

HARRIS: Job creation around, for example, all of those skilled workers who are in the coal industry and — and — and transferring those skills to what we need to do in terms of (sputtering) in dealing with reclaiming abandoned land mines.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Really? So you people working in the coal mines are now gonna be sent somewhere to disarm “abandoned land mines.” That\u2019s the great future you have! Here\u2019s Joe Manchin, senator from West Virginia, reacting to this.<\/p>\n
MANCHIN: I saw it; I couldn\u2019t believe it. No one called me. We\u2019re gonna try to find a bipartisan pathway forward. I think we need to. But we need to work together. That\u2019s not a way of working together, what was done.<\/p>\n
RUSH: He\u2019s not happy with this. We gotta be very careful. You don\u2019t go against the Biden regime if you\u2019re in it. That\u2019s another thing about running the establishment or the deep state — and when you\u2019re president, you\u2019re considered to be among the people in top echelon. So he gotta be very careful. But Biden sends the vice president out, and she doesn\u2019t know enough to say, “Wait a minute.<\/p>\n
“We\u2019re gonna send people from the coal mines over to wherever there are…?” That was a Princess Di issue, by the way. You remember this? Princess Diana, that was one of her big deals, to getting rid of abandoned land mines, \u2019cause they blow up and they severely injure and wound people. So that\u2019s it. If you\u2019re working the coal mine in West Virginia, that\u2019s what the Biden administration says your great future is here. In their great climate change plan here, you get to disarm abandoned land mines.<\/p>\n

I caught you as I\u2019m driving down the highway, and I heard you say something, and I\u2019m also disappointed because I have to now say that I\u2019m part of that 1% that makes up the — you\u2019re always… always right, 99% of the time.<\/p>\n

And I heard you say something about Kamala Harris and the West Virginia “land mines,” and then allude to the fact that it\u2019s a land mine as something that would blow up, and I think what she was saying — although I don\u2019t have the transcript in front of me — was that she was going to take miners who were out of work and teach them how to reclaim the land in which the mines, the coal mines were being closed.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Oh. So she\u2019s not gonna go out and teach \u2019em how to disarm land mines. She gonna teach \u2019em how to go out and reclaim the land so that you can bring back a live land mine to West Virginia?<\/p>\n
CALLER: (laughing) Yeah. I think your sarcasm is on point again, yes.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Is that really what you think she said?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yeah, I do, um, and —<\/p>\n
RUSH: You don\u2019t think that she was saying that out-of-work coal miners are gonna disarm land mines, which is what she said? I got the transcript. (groans) It\u2019s at the bottom of the Stack. Hang on just a minute. We\u2019re gonna “reclaim abandoned land mines.” Nothing about the land the land mines are in. We are gonna “reclaim abandoned land mines.” You know, an abandoned land mine has gotta be —<\/p>\n
CALLER: Let me tell you… I\u2019ll tell you this very briefly. When I was growing up early one morning I got up and my mother had a package of meat sitting on the counter beside the stove. And on it, it said, “Groundhog Sausage,” and “Groundhog” was on the same line, “Sausage” underneath it, and there was no space between “ground” and “hog,” and I said, “I\u2019m not eating that.”<\/p>\n
RUSH: Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. I just figured out what you mean. It has taken me… You\u2019re saying that she meant to say “abandoned mine lands” —<\/p>\n
CALLER: Correct.<\/p>\n
RUSH: — and instead she said, “abandoned land mines”? Here I\u2019ve been feeling sorry for abandoned land mines.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Exactly.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And West Virginia coal workers are gonna have to disarm abandoned…? Well, you know, we have abandoned illegal alien kids in cages at the border. We have abandoned people here, abandoned women in homeless centers in Los Angeles. So I —<\/p>\n
CALLER: I\u2019m sure it doesn\u2019t make much difference which way you look at it, they\u2019re not gonna do it anyway.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, that\u2019s the bottom line. That is so true. You do not know how right you are. They\u2019re not gonna do any of this garbage anyway. All this is just a bunch of words. But you\u2019re claiming she meant to say “abandoned mine lands.” So what she…? How do you do that?<\/p>\n
So you have land in which there are coal mines, in which there\u2019s coal, and they\u2019re gonna shut all that down to save the planet. So she says… What do you do if you\u2019re a coal worker and you\u2019re hired to go reclaim abandoned mine land? What are you gonna do? What\u2019s the job, in other words?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes, exactly, that\u2019s the point. (laughing) She\u2019s clueless. And I agree with you wholeheartedly.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yeah. It is. But I thought maybe as a West Virginia resident for years you might have known. I don\u2019t mean to put pressure on, don\u2019t misunderstand. But she meant “abandoned mine land.” She “misspoke,” \u2019cause she\u2019s a leftist, and “mine land…” What the hell?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hey, Rush, I just want to say, what an honor it is to speak to you. Mega prayers and mega dittoes to you and Kathryn. My comment is on the Kommie Harris comment about reclaiming the mine lands.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yes.<\/p>\n
CALLER: She\u2019s just assuming that we just go out here and we just tear up the land and leave it. But reclamation is a part of the business. You can go out to any of these mines in Wyoming, drive up to \u2019em, and you wouldn\u2019t know where they had mind unless you —<\/p>\n
RUSH: Oh, so.<\/p>\n
CALLER: — had seen the plans before.<\/p>\n
RUSH: What you\u2019re saying is she doesn\u2019t know about the reclamation of land acting she does whereas you people do know, and yet she\u2019s treating you like a bunch of clods that don\u2019t.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, exactly, that she\u2019s just so far out in her own world — they\u2019re so far out in their own world — they think, “Hey, they just go out and rape the land, take the coal, just leave the ground open, just leave it,” and that\u2019s just not the case. I don\u2019t know what it\u2019s like in West Virginia, but I\u2019m assuming it\u2019s the same way because it\u2019s such a highly regulated —<\/p>\n
RUSH: That\u2019s exactly what they think about anything environmental, that the middle class and the people that make any money off of it are destroying the land and destroying the environment, destroying the planet. It\u2019s an article of faith in their religion. She just assumes that everybody is doing this and that she and her group want to protect the planet from predators like you.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Right. Well, she wouldn\u2019t… I mean, the last thing I\u2019d have to say is this land, when we put it back, it\u2019s almost better than it was when it was stripped, basically, \u2019cause we run strip mines in Wyoming.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n
CALLER: But it\u2019s basically —<\/p>\n
RUSH: It\u2019s no different than the timber industry. The timber industry plants something like three to four trees for every one they chop down. I\u2019ve mentioned that statistic to a lot of people. “Whoa! Rush, you don\u2019t know what you\u2019re talking about. We\u2019ve got much less forest land today.” No we don\u2019t. We have as much, if not more as the founding of the country.<\/p>\n
That statistic blows them away because they think we\u2019re down to practically nothing. At the founding of the country, we didn\u2019t have motorized saws or anything. It was the frozen tundra out there. But the timber industry, Weyerhaeuser, all these people, they plant. For every tree that they cut down, they plant four to five more — and you know what?<\/p>\n
They are forests whose only purpose is to create trees for wood. Yeah, that\u2019s right. They\u2019re in the business of growing wood. Wood is a very powerful commodity. It\u2019s very strong. It has so many uses. You can make a beautiful piano out of a tree trunk. You can make a gorgeous Stravinsky violin out of wood. You can also build homes out of wood.<\/p>\n
They are a commonly used American commodity. And the people in that business need to make sure they\u2019re not gonna run out of it. And so for every tree they cut down they plant four to five more just to insure that they\u2019re gonna least be a replacement business. How stupid of them would it be to just start raping the land, and eventually get to the point where there are no trees left, there\u2019s no wood business, there\u2019s no timber industry?<\/p>\n
Why would they do this?<\/p>\n
They wouldn\u2019t.<\/p>\n
They would want to continue an ongoing supply of trees because trees equal wood, equal their business. But you try telling that to environmentalist wacko. You\u2019ll lose them ten seconds into the conversation, because they believe that the timber industry (angrily) “is a bunch of predators and rapists, and they\u2019re raping the land and they\u2019re destroying it!” Just like every other environmentalist wacko has been lied to about whatever part of the environment they care about.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
