CALLER: Yes, Rush. Thanks for taking my call.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You bet, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: My subject is Obamacare.<\/line><\/line>RUSH: Obamacare.<\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: And my observation is this. The CBO scored Obamacare while it was being debated in the House and the Senate. Now, waivers to over a thousand companies and organizations have been issued so they don\u2019t have to comply with the law. So my question is should the CBO rescore that legislation again in light of these thousand —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Not only for those reasons but something that we all said at the moment it was happening, $500 billion in Medicare cuts, we said they weren\u2019t gonna be $500 billion. Remember, $500 billion in Medicare cuts in order to get them under a trillion bucks and we said there\u2019s no way a bunch of Democrats are gonna get rid of $500 billion of Medicare spending, isn\u2019t gonna happen. We looked at it and they\u2019re double counting it. They double counted it, and Sebelius admitted it. Last Thursday, it was on Capitol Hill, John Shimkus, Republican, Illinois, ‘Your own actuary has said that you can\u2019t double count. Your law cut $500 billion in Medicare, then you\u2019re also using the same $500 billion saying you\u2019re funding health care. You\u2019re cutting it and funding it. Now, which is it?\u2019 And here\u2019s what she said.<\/p>\n

SEBELIUS: Sir, the Affordable Care Act is 12 years the Medicare trust fund, according to every actuary, and the $500 billion dollars represents a slowdown in the growth rate of Medicare over 10 years from what was projected at 8% to a growth rate — (gavel)<\/p>\n

SHIMKUS: So is it Medicare? Is he using it to save Medicare or using it to fund (gavel noise) health care reform? Which one? <\/p>\n

SEBELIUS: (gavel noise) Both. <\/p>\n

PITTS: The gentleman\u2019s… <\/p>\n

SHIMKUS: So you\u2019re double counting. I yield back my time. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Double counting. They used it to show a cut and then they added it back in in another part of the bill for spending. So right there alone in addition to the whole bill being unconstitutional now, right there alone the whole notion on which this thing was scored has been admitted to as a fraud by no less than the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius. Voila. And of course, again, just to remind you, another thing we told you when it was happening. A lot of people knew it.
