CALLER: Hi, Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: What I\u2019m interested in is, first of all, I\u2019m interested in this country, and what I think is Israel runs this country and along with you, and also what I think is — <\/p>\n

RUSH: You think Israel runs the country along with me?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly. Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: First of all, Bush went into Iraq and, you know, took that country over and upset a balance between Saddam Hussein and Iran.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And that\u2019s why we\u2019re having problems with Iran now.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Hmm. Okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay?<\/p>\n

RUSH: So Bush goes into Iraq, gets rid of Hussein, and that\u2019s why we got problems in Iran?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know you say Hussein should have been there and all this —<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, I didn\u2019t say that. I\u2019m not yet disputing. I\u2019m still trying to comprehend, I\u2019m trying to understand and make sure that I\u2019m hearing what you\u2019re saying.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, what I\u2019m saying is that you\u2019re altruistic saying Saddam Hussein shouldn\u2019t have been, you know, oppressing that country, but I\u2019m thinking this country, my country, the country I went into service for, I fought for, okay? Do you understand that?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Why did Israel tell Bush to invade Iraq?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Israel didn\u2019t tell Bush to invade Iraq.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What am I missing?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, you\u2019re missing that we invaded Iraq because Israel didn\u2019t want to invade it, okay?<\/p>\n

RUSH: So Israel had to ask us. If they didn\u2019t want to go and invade Iraq, they had to ask us to do it, and Bush did —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, no, we spend more money for Israel than any country in the world, plus technology, okay?<\/p>\n

RUSH: You just said that Israel runs this country, so under that rubric or umbrella if we invade Iraq Israel is responsible.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I said Israel runs you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Ohhh, oh! <\/p>\n

CALLER: Not this country. You.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I run the country and Israel runs me?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, you don\u2019t run the country, Israel runs you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay? And second of all, if we would not have done that, we would not have the problems we have with Iran now, okay?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, I\u2019m listening. If we hadn\u2019t invaded Iraq and got rid of Saddam we would have no problems with Iran?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, exactly, yes. We wouldn\u2019t have the problem we\u2019re having now.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, what is our problem with Iran?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Iran is actually, you know, they\u2019re Shi\u2019ites, they\u2019re Shi\u2019ites and —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, but what\u2019s our problem with them?<\/p>\n

CALLER: The problem is they\u2019re gonna make bombs, I guess, as far as I know, nuclear bombs, right?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right. And they\u2019re only doing this because we got rid of Saddam in Iraq?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly. Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. Okay. I just want to make sure we\u2019re all following.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right, because Saddam Hussein was a balancing factor between Iran and Iraq. Do you understand that?<\/p>\n

RUSH: So Joe Wilson was right?<\/p>\n

CALLER: What?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Joe Wilson was right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Joe Wilson has nothing to do — this is me. You know, I\u2019m 70 years old, I know what\u2019s happening. Rumsfeld and Cheney were hobknocking with Saddam Hussein because of the oil. The oil was supposed to pay for this war, according to — (crosstalk)<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, they were not hobnobbing, wait a second. <\/p>\n

CALLER: — and Rumsfeld.<\/p>\n

RUSH: We did have an allied relationship with Iraq in the early eighties during Iran and their eight year war with Iraq. Our best and brightest minds said that of these two countries, we would hope that Iraq would prevail in a war between the two.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So we did a line with Saddam Hussein in the early days of the —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, according to Wolfowitz and Perle, the Iraq war was supposed to pay with their oil, with Iraq\u2019s oil to pay for this war, and it never happened.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, plus they didn\u2019t give us our nerve gas back.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I don\u2019t care about the nerve gas.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, what does this have to do with Egypt? Is there a bridge?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, there is. Because they see what happened in Iraq, and they see what happened in Egypt and all over the Arab countries they\u2019re thinking that we have no power. That\u2019s what this has to do with Egypt.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. All right. I\u2019m totally clear on all this, except how Israel runs me.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, you know, what network are you on? <\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m on the EIB Network.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay, who runs that?<\/p>\n

RUSH: I do.<\/p>\n

CALLER: You do?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes.<\/p>\n

CALLER: All right. Well, maybe Israel doesn\u2019t run you, but —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, are you saying that this is the Jews own the media business and so therefore we have to be loyal to the owners of the media?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, businesses is business, right?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, I see, okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, no, no. That\u2019s not me. That\u2019s other people.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay. All right. Whatever you say.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m telling you. Israel does not have a stake in the EIB Network.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay, fine.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Air America, that\u2019s another story, but not here.<\/p>\n
