RUSH: Dallas, John, welcome to the program. Great to have you here, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi mega dittos, Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hey, man, I got to tell you, I\u2019ve been listening to your show for two years and it depresses me, man, I mean is there anything good that you\u2019re not saying that the Obama administration is doing? I mean if you ask me, he\u2019s doing an excellent job. I listen to the left; I listen to the right. And my question is who\u2019s telling the truth? Well, that\u2019s up to the individual to listen to both of these networks to determine that. But I think you just got it all mixed up, man. We\u2019re trying to bring this country together. Let it be, if we can just get there.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Who is this ‘we\u2019 trying to bring the country together?<\/p>\n

CALLER: ‘We,\u2019 as in people. We would like for this country to go forward and not be divided between rich and poor. I mean it\u2019s ridiculous out here, man.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, but who\u2019s the ‘we\u2019? For how many people are you speaking?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Millions, man.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You are?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Millions of Americans want us to all get along and have no division between rich and poor?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, man. I mean it\u2019s hard to see when you\u2019re rich, but when you\u2019re poor you can see on the other side.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Would you name for me the last time that you can recall in America where there were no rich and there were no poor, and the last time we all got along?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m sorry, you broke up, say that again.<\/p>\n

RUSH: How old are you? Fifty, 45, 30?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m 49 years old.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Forty-nine, all right. You\u2019ve lived enough. Name for me a time in your life where the country has been unified, everybody got along and there was no division between rich and poor.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, that\u2019s a good question. I haven\u2019t followed politics my whole life like a lot of other people. Since Obama has come in office, people are following politics now.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, wonder why that is?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Why what is?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Why since Obama\u2019s come into office, are people all of a sudden following politics? I\u2019ll tell you why. I\u2019ll tell you why. It\u2019s because a bunch of people who here to now were apolitical, have watched the values of their homes plummet, their jobs vanish, their children and grandchildren\u2019s future become precarious, they have seen this president destroy much of what they thought was gonna be their future. That\u2019s why they care. And if anybody wants to come together on anything, it\u2019s getting rid of all this and replacing with somebody and something that\u2019s gonna return this country to one of growth and prosperity and freedom and economic opportunity, all of which are on the wane. Thank you.<\/p>\n
