RUSH: So I picked the Ravens hoping the Steelers would win. You don\u2019t believe me? I did it on purpose. You know I would never pick against the Steelers seriously. (interruption) Snerdley, I picked the Ravens on purpose because I\u2019ve been wrong all these playoffs. I picked the Packers, I actually thought the Packers were gonna win and I thought the Bears were gonna win and I thought the Patriots were gonna win. <\/p>\n

RUSH: To the phones we go, to Middleburg, Virginia, this is Steve. You\u2019re up first. Great to have you here. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Wow, first up today, huh, Rush?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s an awesome responsibility.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, I\u2019m glad you realize that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Serious topic. I just want to ask a quick question. Do your football picks count against your overall accuracy rating?<\/p>\n

RUSH: No. Those are predictions, and the accuracy rating does not really involve wild guesses or predictions per se. But if they did, I\u2019d be in trouble, you know, because I was in bad shape, wild card weekend, and I was 50-50 this past weekend.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, that\u2019s about what I run, so don\u2019t feel too bad.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, that\u2019s pretty much what everybody runs. But, no, sports — because the audience gives me grief — is exempted from the accuracy rating. The accuracy rating has to do largely with cultural, political, and social data. Football teams don\u2019t raise taxes.
