RUSH: Here\u2019s John in Indianapolis, Open Line Friday rolls on, and you\u2019re up, sir. Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I realize that you\u2019re due for a well deserved break real soon because it\u2019s been awhile since you\u2019ve had a break, sir. So, my question is, when will we, the listening audience, experience the chickification of the EIB Network, meaning a female guest host?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, you want female guest hosts here?<\/p>\n

CALLER: A skirt wouldn\u2019t be bad, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: A skirt wouldn\u2019t be bad. You\u2019d have to imagine the skirt, it\u2019s radio, you really couldn\u2019t see it. Do you have anybody particularly in mind here that you would like to guest host the program? This is a risky proposition, by the way, to ask this question because you never know what you\u2019re gonna get. Any particular chicks you have in mind to guest host the program?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, over the course of the last six months, you spoke of the chickification of the NFL and several other entities of life, and I feel that there are several excellent substitutes to sit in when you\u2019re MIA. First off comes Malkin, Coulter, or Ingraham.<\/p>\n

RUSH: She\u2019s got her own show.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I understand that. But, you know, come on, man, don\u2019t make me pull a Keyshawn on you. Let\u2019s see a female in there one time.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What does that mean? What am I missing here?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Keyshawn Johnson. ‘Come on, man.\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, Keyshawn Johnson, ‘Come on, man.\u2019 Oh, you want Keyshawn to host?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m just kidding. Just kidding. Okay, so you like Michelle Malkin. Who else did you mention? <\/p>\n

CALLER: Ann Coulter, and if you really want to get on the left\u2019s hide, since Sarah Palin\u2019s all over the place, put her in there for three hours.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That would be excellent.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, how about Liz Cheney? Would you like to hear Liz Cheney? I\u2019m just throwing names at you. We haven\u2019t explored any of this in an official or unofficial way. Since you\u2019re mentioning names, I thought I\u2019d throw one out at you. Palin would make people\u2019s heads explode.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Liz Cheney, I don\u2019t know, but I\u2019m just talking about somebody that has a lot of good thoughts, that people are familiar with, people could put a face with the name. I really like to see, you know, if you want to really go forth with it, I\u2019d like to see Ann Coulter versus Rachel Maddow on the next day off. That would be epic. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Doing what?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, going back and forth. I\u2019d like to see who has the better debate when you\u2019re on vacation.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, you mean talking? Maddow versus Coulter talking? Oh. Oh. I thought —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh. I thought you were talking about something exciting. Sorry. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Look, folks, I just got — (laughing) — the problem is if we had a female guest host in here I may not get this show back. You let a woman in the door and they take over. Look at the newsrooms of America, look at Fox News. Find the number of guys on that network for me. I can count \u2019em on one hand. (interruption) ‘So? What\u2019s wrong with that?\u2019 Snerdley says. (laughing) Well, in the case of Fox News I know what he\u2019s talking about. (laughing) I\u2019m just kidding. You want a woman? How about Julian Assange? Julian Assange is on bail, a way to reach out to the left. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Debbie in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, great to have you on the EIB Network. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush. How are you?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Very good. Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I told your screener, don\u2019t do it, don\u2019t chickify your show. There\u2019s places women don\u2019t belong: football, baseball, cruiser cars. They need to stay home with their kids and cook. I raised my kids. I didn\u2019t go to work full time until my last one graduated from high school, and I don\u2019t regret it. Working part time is fine, but women need to realize what\u2019s more important. Being on your show, they don\u2019t belong there. They don\u2019t belong in football. I can\u2019t stand watching football with pink sneakers. What in God\u2019s name is wrong with these people?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, we\u2019re kind of on the same page there, but that\u2019s the NFL reaching out to the breast cancer audience.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, baloney.<\/p>\n

RUSH: They\u2019re trying to bring the game to women. They\u2019re trying to expand their market in that way. Look, you know, there are female guest hosts. There\u2019s nothing trendy about that or nothing revolutionary about that. How about if I go out and get the first transgender host?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Why? What\u2019s wrong with you the way you are?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, when I\u2019m not here.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I like the British (sic) guy. He\u2019s great.<\/p>\n

RUSH: The British guy.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, yeah, Mark Steyn, Mark Steyn, Mark Steyn.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So you think a woman\u2019s place is in the House and the Senate?<\/p>\n

CALLER: As long as they\u2019ve got kids their place is at home, period. I lived it; I\u2019ve done it; I\u2019m speaking from where I come from.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And I am 50 years old and I work more hours now than I could ever count, so —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Would you really not want to listen to a female host the program? Or is it just about you think they ought to be home making babies and cooking?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No. I really don\u2019t want to listen to a woman host. I have heard a couple other places that have woman hosts on and I turn \u2019em off for the day.<\/p>\n
