RUSH: Charles in Milwaukee, you\u2019re next on the Rush Limbaugh program. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi. Thanks for taking my call.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You bet, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I wanted to lighten the mood a little bit because that previous caller, I\u2019m just glad — well, I\u2019ll just put it this way. I\u2019m glad I ate breakfast a few hours ago.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing)<\/p>\n

CALLER: I mean my goodness. Well, what I wanted to say was I live in Milwaukee but I was born in Chicago.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And my team is the Chicago Bears.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Chicago Bears.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Chicago Bears, and in my opinion they\u2019re gonna make the playoffs, but we still have a quarterback problem. We haven\u2019t had a good quarterback for who knows how long.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I know what you\u2019re talking about, Cutler, but he had a pretty good game last time out.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Sure did.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right game plan if Martz keeps in mind what the guy can and can\u2019t do. What Martz has to do with Cutler is keeping three-step drops and then get rid of the ball, otherwise you\u2019re facing disaster. I don\u2019t think you have anything to worry about with the Bears making the playoffs. If the playoffs started today the Bears would be the number two seed.<\/p>\n

CALLER: We\u2019re already number one in the NFC Central.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. You\u2019d be the number two seed. I think the worst you guys are gonna do is be the number six seed. That\u2019s the worst you can do.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I mean, obviously you could lose out and not make it, but I\u2019m just looking at it realistically as I look at your remaining schedule and all the other playoff teams in the NFC. It looks to me like the worst you could do is end up being the number six seed.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I agree. And can I say one more thing?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Anyone who knows me from college to high school, I just wanted to say I\u2019m still a Bears fan and I made it through. I mean I\u2019ve been trying to get on your show for half my life.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m 34 now, that\u2019s not saying much.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing) You\u2019ve been trying to get on this show for half your life to tell everybody who knows you that you\u2019re still okay?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. And that I\u2019m not gonna become a bandwagon Packers fan — <\/p>\n

RUSH: Obviously there\u2019s much going on. Here\u2019s a guy from Chicago, Charles, goes to Milwaukee, his number one concern here is that his buds in Chicago don\u2019t think he\u2019s gone over and become a Packers fan. (laughing) Okay, Charles, we\u2019re happy to be of service here, Charles, into helping you make that point to your buddies very much. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know who I think will not make the playoffs in the NFL? This is gonna shock people. Even with last night\u2019s win, as I look at it and as I analyze things, it looks to me like the team that\u2019s on the outs in the NFC is gonna be the Philadelphia Eagles. I kid you not. And you can\u2019t say this is \u2019cause of McNabb bias because he\u2019s not there. But I\u2019m just saying, as I look at it now the common opponents they\u2019ve got and everybody else in that conference and who\u2019s where, I won\u2019t be surprised if the Eagles barely miss it, making the playoffs. Mark my words today.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: So I knew it. I got… Let\u2019s see, what…? I got all kinds of people just up in arms here over my projection that the Philadelphia Eagles will not make the playoffs as I look at it now, and I\u2019ll be honest: To make a projection like this you have to look at the schedule and see who\u2019s gonna win and lose, and I see two more losses for the Iggles. I think they\u2019re gonna lose against Dallas in Dallas. I think they\u2019re gonna lose against the Giants in New York on December 19th. The Jets play the Steelers that day, and the Packers play the Patriots on December 19th. December 19th weekend is a fabulous NFL weekend. I think the Iggles will beat the Vikings and the Cowboys when they close it out at home, but if they lose those two games at Dallas and the Giants, then they\u2019re gone. They\u2019re done for. Looking at other teams in the conference and projecting who they\u2019ll beat versus their schedule.
