CALLER: Happy Thanksgiving, Rush. It\u2019s good to talk to you. It\u2019s an honor.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I wanted to comment on something you mentioned the first hour. I\u2019m very nervous.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You don\u2019t sound nervous at all.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you. You talked about the professor from the University of Wisconsin, and he wrote a whole paper on voter stupidity.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And these are the same voters in the state of Wisconsin that voted overwhelmingly for Barack Obama. And they also voted all the Democrats out this election. So if that is not an indictment on Obama\u2019s policies —<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s a good point, something made \u2019em stupid between the time they voted for Obama and now.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Correct. I mean maybe it\u2019s all the liberalism in Wisconsin, I don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, the answer is the guy\u2019s a dolt. The answer is he\u2019s a pure partisan. The answer is he\u2019s a mean-spirited guy. He\u2019s a scourge on the whole profession of political science.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Correct.<\/p>\n

RUSH: He\u2019s just a liberal. He\u2019s a liberal disguised as a scientist, a liberal disguised as a professor.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s a great point. The same people that elected Obama he\u2019s now calling stupid.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Correct.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And what made \u2019em stupid? By the way, did you see this? This is from Reuters last Thursday: Nearly one in five Americans had a mental illness in 2009.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Really?<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s right. ‘More than 45 million Americans, or 20 percent of U.S. adults, had some form of mental illness last year, and 11 million had a serious illness, U.S. government researchers reported on Thursday. Young adults aged 18 to 25 had the highest level of mental illness at 30 percent, while those aged 50 and older had the lowest, with 13.7 percent, said the report by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration or SAMHSA. The rate, slightly higher than last year\u2019s 19.5 percent figure, reflected increasing depression, especially among the unemployed, SAMHSA, part of the National Institutes of Health, said.\u2019 Now, I last saw that the percentage of Americans admitting to being liberal is 20%.
