RUSH: Here\u2019s Ann in Charleston, South Carolina, nice to have you on the EIB Network.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush? Hello?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, listen, I voted early this morning, and I experienced some technical problems with the electronic machine. And I just want to tell people that if your machines does not give you a written receipt of any kind make sure you stay around until you get some sort of confirmation that your vote got cast. I almost walked out of there without actually casting a vote.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What happened? I mean how do you realize what was about to happen?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I decided to just hang back because I was expecting some sort of thank-you for casting a vote or something to pop up and instead —<\/p>\n

RUSH: You mean on the screen?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. Right. And instead I got an error message and just for a split second I saw the word ‘problem\u2019 pop up, and so —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Did you by any chance cast your vote for Republicans?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, I did.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Hmm.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I don\u2019t really think that was the problem.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, you don\u2019t, okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, because they were very helpful and I was able to cast it again.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that\u2019s good.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. But I just to want make sure people know, if you don\u2019t get any kind of confirmation up on the screen or you don\u2019t get any kind of receipt, that you should ask somebody about it, don\u2019t just walk away.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right. I\u2019ll keep that in mind. I have to go vote later today.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And I\u2019ll keep a sharp eye on my machine.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. Right. Thanks, Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right, thanks very much, Ann. I appreciate that. (interruption) What was that? You\u2019ve already voted? A magic marker? Well, yeah, but it\u2019s still electronic, isn\u2019t it?
