RUSH: We go to Indianapolis. Jeff, I\u2019m glad you called. Welcome to the EIB Network.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, thank you, Mr. Limbaugh. Now, I wanted the liberals out there to have this (unintelligible) for a long time. I started back in 1992 listening to you from WLS Big 89 in Chicago. Now (unintelligible) I listen to you on WIBC 93.1 FM in Indianapolis. Now, this call is ironic because I was the first caller you took on Election Day in 1994.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You are the first caller I took on Election Day 1994, the very first caller?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, I am.<\/p>\n

RUSH: On Election Day, or the day after?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Election Day.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right. Okay. Well, you\u2019re the second caller Election Day 2010.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. And also, I am the one who is very aware all the things that the conservatives listen to. And it\u2019s kinda strange that the Tea Party movement is running around talking about Obama is a socialist. Obama is a communist. I\u2019ll betcha half of \u2019em haven\u2019t even read the Communist Manifesto or Das Kapital. I read both of them and I also read The Road to Serfdom by Hayek and I also read some (unintelligible) stuff, too. I know where it comes from.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You read The Road to Serfdom by who?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Frederick von Hayek.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, Friedrich von Hayek.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m impressed if you got through that because that\u2019s a tough slog in spots.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, I have it on my computer, I downloaded it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that\u2019s excellent.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I also downloaded Free to Choose by Milton Friedman<\/p>\n

RUSH: So you\u2019re calling to congratulate me, then?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, what I\u2019m saying is there\u2019s a lot of distortion going on, and you are part of it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What? What am I distorting out there, Jeff?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Because you\u2019re actually getting people to think that Obama is the Second Coming of socialism or communism. I can\u2019t see it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, then you\u2019re blind.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I\u2019m not blind. I\u2019m not blind.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, then you\u2019re wearing shades that are too dark.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m not blind. I can see very clearly.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, if you don\u2019t like communism, socialism, he\u2019s a Marxist, he\u2019s a Stalinist, he\u2019s a totalitarian. Jeff, you know who he really wishes he could be? I think Obama regrets that he wasn\u2019t born soon enough to be alive in the sixties. I think he really identifies with people back then. If he could be anybody, it would be Castro.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, come on, please, please.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, yeah. I think if Obama could be anybody, either Castro or maybe Che Guevara.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, no, no, never.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Look, John McCain even called him a socialist.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, because it\u2019s easy to put that label on somebody. You guys are good at that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, yeah, McCain doesn\u2019t do that. That\u2019s my point. McCain would call himself a bad name first.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, anything to try to win an election. Of course, you try fearmongering and stuff like that. That\u2019s good.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What\u2019s —<\/p>\n

CALLER: (unintelligible.)<\/p>\n

RUSH: So you read — wait a minute, now. <\/p>\n

CALLER: — (unintelligible) but a lot of people don\u2019t even understand what socialism or communism really is.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right, so what\u2019s the point of all this?<\/p>\n

CALLER: The point of all this is if the Republicans take over the House of Representatives you guys are gonna be in for a rude awakening.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You don\u2019t think the Republicans are going to win control of the House?<\/p>\n

CALLER: They might, but if they do, your side is gonna be in for a rude awakening, especially the Tea Party movement who actually think the Republicans are actually gonna do something about cutting spending. The first thing they\u2019re gonna do is raise the deficit — (crosstalk)<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, I see, I get it, you think that the Tea Party and me and a whole bunch of others, we\u2019re gonna be disappointed no matter what happens today?<\/p>\n

CALLER: You\u2019re gonna be shocked, you\u2019re gonna be disappointed somewhat because the first thing they\u2019re gonna have to do is raise the deficit to keep funding the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq because they don\u2019t want those troops out of Afghanistan or Iraq. Obama does, people on your side don\u2019t. Somebody\u2019s gonna have to pay for that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Jeff, I have to tell you something. I have to agree with you on one thing. We are gonna be disappointed tomorrow. Obama is still gonna be president. There\u2019s gonna be a lot of people very sad about that. We know that today and tomorrow are just the first steps to fixing things and people like you, get your mind right, get you to join the virtuous side of things. ‘Cause if I were to ask you the difference between socialism and what Obama is doing, you wouldn\u2019t have an answer, you\u2019d say I\u2019m fearmongering and so forth. Jeff, it\u2019s worth fearmongering, it\u2019s worth being afraid. It\u2019s worth being frightened of where the Democrat Party is taking this country. It makes total sense to be frightened, it makes total sense to be angry, it\u2019s common sense. Anything else and I would have to question the mind-set of the American people. <\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, the real question here, I mean the guy calls from Indianapolis saying we\u2019re gonna be really disappointed tomorrow, what\u2019s gonna happen tomorrow. The real question is what\u2019s gonna happen tonight on CNN and MSNBC as the election returns come in? The real question is what will the liberals do tomorrow?
