Why are you not in school today?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: We have, uh, parent-teacher conferences.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Oh, okay. Cool. I always love those.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yep.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: How can we help today, Zach?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125109.Par.89380.ImageFile_57914498949fd.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"433\" class=\"alignright\"\/>CALLER: Um, I like Obama and I was wondering why people are always blaming him on (sic) all the crisis, you know?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, because he\u2019s responsible for most of them.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: What\u2019s he do that makes him responsible?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, you\u2019re 13 years old. I\u2019m gonna try to answer your question. First he\u2019s president of the United States.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yep.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: It is his agenda, things that he has secured &#8212; health care, all the financial policies &#8212; that are literally causing people to lose their jobs. This president, Zach, does not like this country as it was founded. He has a &#8212; a disagreement with the way this country should be run and the way that people should manage and govern their affairs. He believes the United States has been mean to other people all over the world. He believes the United States, in our 200-plus years, have stolen other people\u2019s oil and used it for ourselves; that we have cared not a whit about the environment, that we polluted and that we are destroying the climate. The president believes that big corporations are evil and mean and need to be downsized and gotten even with, and he\u2019s on a path to achieve just this. <\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah, you have a question? Feel free to jump in any time.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Oh. Well, we are polluting beaches and everything. So&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, Zach, who\u2019s telling you that we\u2019re polluting beaches? When is the last time&#8230;? You\u2019re 13. When\u2019s the last time you were at a beach?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I go to the lake quite a bit, and there\u2019s always rocks and glass on the shoreline and everything, and paper bags.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Right. And so that means&#8230;?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Like, people need to be more careful to the environment.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: But Obama\u2019s been president for almost two years.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Why are there still rocks and glass on the shoreline and paper bags? <\/p>\n<p>CALLER: He needs to do something about that.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: He has been, at least he says he has been. Do you believe that the climate of the earth is being destroyed and that the United States is responsible for that?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/search.barnesandnoble.com\/bookSearch\/isbnInquiry.asp?r=1&amp;ISBN=9781594032103&amp;lkid=J14976929&amp;pubid=K118833&amp;byo=1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125109.Par.4584.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"224\" height=\"359\" class=\"alignleft\"\/><\/a>CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Where did you learn this?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: On TV.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah. Was a cartoon show that you\u2019re watching or what specific show?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Disney Channel.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Disney Channel?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yep. <\/p>\n<p>RUSH: So it coulda been a cartoon even if it wasn\u2019t a cartoon. Zach (sigh), this is really a job for your parents. I\u2019m wading into an area here that might make your parents mad by talking to you about these things but you did call. And, Zach, it\u2019s just the exact opposite. I\u2019m trying to be serious here. I don\u2019t want to&#8230; You think that polar bears are losing their homes on little ice shelves, that they\u2019re all melting away?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah. (sigh) Do your parents agree with this, Zach?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yep.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: They do.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: They do. Yeah. Zach, the United States of America, your country, is the greatest country in the history of the world. There has never been a greater place in the world for people to live.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: There\u2019s never been a place where people have been freer to become whatever they want, to dream and have those dreams come true. There\u2019s never, ever been a place better. In history &#8212; thousands and thousands, millions, billions, whatever of years &#8212; there\u2019s never been a better place than the United States of America. The United States of America has done more for people around the world and in this country than any other population or any other country has ever done. This is a nation that was founded with decency and goodness. This nation doesn\u2019t destroy. This nation builds. This nation and the people of this nation help other people who are in trouble. We\u2019ve liberated people from slavery, from bondage, from totalitarian dictatorships. This country is the solution to the world\u2019s problems. It\u2019s not the problem. And you\u2019re being taught things that, quite frankly, just aren\u2019t true.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Oh.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I know you like Obama, and a lot of people like him personally. But I believe that the president doesn\u2019t like the country the way I like it, and I believe that President Obama thinks that this country has committed crimes against other people around the world. President Obama actually believes that this country and this country alone is destroying the place, the ice, where polar bears live, which is not true. The polar bear habitat is not being destroyed. The climate is not being destroyed. The United States is the cleanest major industrial place in the world to live. We do a better job cleaning up our messes than anybody in the world.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Hmm.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: We\u2019re not better people, Zach, just because we\u2019re Americans. We\u2019re a better country because of the way we were founded and the recognition that it is freedom that allows the human beings of this country to reach their dreams. Other people haven\u2019t had this kind of freedom that we\u2019ve had. <\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Unh-uh.<\/p>\n<p><BR\/>RUSH: Well, it bothers a lot of people to understand, to realize that, you know, young people like you are being told things that are not the truth about their country. You ought to be proud of America. <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Yep.<\/line><\/p>\n<p>RUSH: You ought to be proud of it, and there are people teaching you things that are trying to make you not proud of your country. It\u2019s a shame.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Now, Barack Obama I\u2019m sure as a human being is a nice guy.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yep.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125109.Par.78179.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignright\"\/>RUSH: And you have every reason in the world to want to like him, in the way that you know him. You see him on TV reading a teleprompter at schools.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Out eating cheeseburgers and french fries when he can get away from home and his wife isn\u2019t watching.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: And, you know, you see him drinking beer with police officers and Harvard professors. He\u2019s a regular old guy. He\u2019s got two wonderful little kids that go to private school that most people couldn\u2019t afford to attend. But his policies, Zach, are responsible for the fact that you and people your age might not really have the same prosperous life that your parents have, and we fear it\u2019s being done on purpose.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Hmm. Why do you say that?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Because I try to be truthful &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: &#8212; with everybody I speak to. If somebody asks me why I think what I think, I try to tell them why. When somebody asks me if I believe something or don\u2019t believe something I\u2019ll say, &#8216;Yes, I do.\u2019 I\u2019ll trying to be honest. I believe that the country as founded is being challenged, its existence as founded is being challenged, and the direction that President Obama and his party want to take the country is&#8230; You can see where we\u2019re headed if you look at other countries around the world which are not doing well. The evidence of where we\u2019re going is clear. But I\u2019m sure these are observations that you\u2019re not yet paying attention to or ready to make. The simple thing here is that we want you to love your country. It\u2019s worth loving. We want you to be proud to be an American. We\u2019re very anger that people are teaching you things about the country that aren\u2019t true. It\u2019s just not fair. <\/p>\n<p>You know, it\u2019s not right, it\u2019s very mean for people to tell you things this country is not doing, and it\u2019s just a shame. So I\u2019m glad you called and asked me why I don\u2019t like Obama and you do. It\u2019s not the man. It\u2019s what he\u2019s attempting to do. More and more people have lost their jobs in the last 20 months than in almost the history of this country other than in the 1930s. It\u2019s a tragedy to see what\u2019s happening, when the solutions for our problems are right in front of everybody\u2019s eyes &#8212; the ones that work &#8212; and they\u2019re not being used. So the country is not doing as well as it could be, and we hope that all changes. There are a lot of people working very hard to make sure that it does change so that when you grow up, you\u2019ll have the same opportunity to be whatever you want, to have your dreams come true as any American who lived before you has had. A lot of people believe that you\u2019re not going to have the chance to have your dreams come true if we keep going the way we\u2019re going. So, Zach, it\u2019s basically people who love people like you when it comes to the best for you.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yep.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Like me, who think the way I think and therefore say what I say.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Any other questions?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: No.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Okay.
