CALLER: Rush, how you doing, buddy?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Very good, thanks.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Good. Hey, I\u2019m still mad as hell from over two hours ago. Our local station here did an interview with Tom Daschle about health care. I\u2019m telling you, man, that guy is way out there. He\u2019s beyond out there. They\u2019re trying to sell that health care program. I\u2019m not buying it. To me it\u2019s like chicken noodle soup and all they have in it is chicken bullion cubes and maybe a few carrots and celery —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait, wait, wait. Wait, wait, wait.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I don\u2019t see any meat and I don\u2019t see any noodles floating in there!<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait just a second here.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What the hell is Daschle doing in Detroit?<\/p>\n

CALLER: He was being interviewed by our Frank Beckmann here, our radio talk show just before you come on.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, I understand that, but I mean what\u2019s he doing —<\/p>\n

CALLER: I don\u2019t know if he was here —<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, let me finish. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What\u2019s he doing selling health care?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh-ho-ho. Oh, I don\u2019t know, brother, I tell you, I was just leaving the house and I turned it on and I was a minute towards the end of it, and Frank was just going toe-to-toe with him, and he couldn\u2019t come up with facts, and, and then Frank mentioned the part about his brother coming down with that cancer, he was overseas in Japan, and he brought him back to this country for medical care, and Frank says, ‘Was it because we have the best care here?\u2019 And he wouldn\u2019t answer that. Oh, I don\u2019t know, you know.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I think this is quite illustrative of something. The health care bill is passed. It\u2019s the law of the land, and Tom Daschle is in Detroit selling it. Meanwhile, Democrats are running against it all over the country, want no part of it, and yet Daschle is in Detroit. Detroit! Why do they have to sell anything Obama in Detroit? There aren\u2019t any jobs there. They are bulldozing houses, but they\u2019re still voting Democrat there. Why in the world is Daschle in Detroit selling health care? I mean that\u2019s as big an indication of how lost these people are. I mean, it\u2019s already the law of the land. Anyway, Bob, thanks for the call. <\/p>\n

RUSH: By the way, I found out what Daschle is doing. Daschle has a book out. Daschle is on a book promotion tour. That\u2019s what he was doing with Frank Beckmann at WJR. It didn\u2019t make sense. I mean I know he was originally going to be one of the health care guys, but to be running around now selling health care, it doesn\u2019t make any sense. He was doing that, I\u2019m sure, as part of his book, but what he was doing is selling his book, and let\u2019s just keep a sharp eye on how many copies of this lame book Daschle sells.
