True story. I\u2019m in the construction trade. My beautiful, lovely wife is a cafeteria worker in an elementary school. She was able to put about 70% down on our house. Times got tough two years ago, we were late three times on our mortgage payment.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: They refused to take any more after that. Then we called and we asked why, and they said, &#8216;Well, we have right to refuse any more payments if you\u2019re late three times in one year.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: You put 70% down?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Seventy percent down, and they told you you\u2019re in trouble after you missed three payments?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Seventy percent down?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: And so you went to Obama home modification program to solve the problem, right?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: That\u2019s correct.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: And what happened?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Every program that was out there in this past year, there were delay processing, delay processing, we were denied every time.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Right. Because the dirty little secret &#8212; I\u2019m sad to say I\u2019m out of town here &#8212; the dirty little secret is the Obama program was for public announcement only. You get down and deep into it, and we\u2019ve had the news stories, hardly anybody was aided or assisted by it, but it sounded wonderful when the Drive-Bys reported that Obama cared and all these people in foreclosure were going to be helped. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RUSH: Rob in Felton, Delaware, great to have you on the EIB Network.
