Why are the Democrats in the Senate spending more money on negative ads against Christine O\u2019Donnell? I mean why? Why are they doing this? If she is a sure, certain loser, why are they doing this? Can the Republican ruling class explain this to me? Can the Republican ruling class explain to me, all of you who the only hope here was Mike Castle, the only hope for 51 seats was Mike Castle, somebody explain to me why the Democrats are spending so much more money than they planned on in Delaware against a sure loser like Christine O\u2019Donnell? <\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Here\u2019s Tom in Sandusky, Ohio, as we go back to the phones. Great to have you on the program, sir. Hello.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Hello. Can you hear me okay?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah, I hear you fine. How about you hear me?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yep.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Good.<\/p>\n<p><BR\/>CALLER: Good to be on your show again. Going back to the beginning of the show when you were talking about how the Democratic Party was trashing O\u2019Donnell spending all this money on somebody that was supposed to be a sure win for the Democrats &#8212;<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> RUSH: Yeah. The Democrat Senatorial Campaign Committee is spending all this money against a sure loser.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> CALLER: Yes. Well, I\u2019m in Ohio, okay?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> RUSH: Yeah.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> CALLER: And you may as well say in Ohio the Democratic Party is getting slaughtered.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> RUSH: Yeah?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> CALLER: And they are still putting out these derogatory advertisements or campaign advertisements against the person that is a Republican and not identifying themselves as to who is putting this ad out. The only one I saw that did was the SEIU. They usually give dot-com place, you know. <\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> RUSH: Now, wait a second. These ads have to have some disclaimer at the end of them.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> CALLER: Well, if there is, I can\u2019t find it. You know, I saw one that was sponsored by the SEIU, you know, but that\u2019s the only one that I saw at the time. But the Democrats that are running for office are not identifying themselves as Democrats.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> RUSH: Yeah.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> CALLER: They\u2019re identifying themselves as a dot-com place somewhere. They\u2019re not saying they\u2019re Democrats or anything. The other thing is most of the Democratic ads are derogatory where the Republican ads are very forward looking and very upbeat and we can do something about this mess we\u2019re in.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> RUSH: You know it\u2019s an interesting point that you\u2019re making. If you look at Tea Party paraphernalia, they\u2019re not ripping Democrats. The Tea Party people are not ripping individual Democrat candidates, they are simply talking about positives on their side, what they want to do, what they want to accomplish.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> CALLER: You say Democrats or Republicans?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> RUSH: The Tea Party people.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> CALLER: Republicans are saying what they want to accomplish.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> RUSH: Yeah. Well, yeah, Tea Party people, Republicans. The point is &#8212;<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> CALLER: Yeah, yeah.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> RUSH: &#8212; the Tea Parties are not ramrodding the opposition.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> CALLER: No, they aren\u2019t. They are not being derogatory at all.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> RUSH: Right.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> CALLER: They\u2019re trying to be upbeat and say this is what we want to do, this is where we want to go, this is why we\u2019re doing it and yada yada yada.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> RUSH: That\u2019s right.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> CALLER: I agree with the philosophy. But I think it\u2019s interesting that the Democratic Party is sort of trying to hide who they are right now.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> RUSH: Well, the big D is the scarlet letter now.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> CALLER: Yes. The only ad I saw was out of Florida. I was on Real Clear Politics, and it was this guy that\u2019s got about one more point on the IQ than the ACORN &#8212; Grayson, is it?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> RUSH: Grayson. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, this guy is certifiable.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> CALLER: Yeah. Calling his opponent Al-Qaeda.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> RUSH: Taliban.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> CALLER: Taliban, that was it. Yeah.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/> RUSH: And of course the media is simply amused.
