And he\u2019s standing out there in front of a cheap-looking little wicket fence, and it\u2019s on his side, he\u2019s not actually in the wheat field. He\u2019s some distance from it, but it\u2019s within reaching distance, he could turn around and reach over the fence. And at the beginning of it you can see that there\u2019s some bugs, like insects, and Plugs is trying to, you know, get rid of them, trying to wipe them off himself.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">&#8220;Sorry there was a bug, speaking of the environment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Joe Biden attacked by bug during speech on climate change. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/XtwTaVBTSW\">pic.twitter.com\/XtwTaVBTSW<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8212; VosIzNeias (@VINNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/VINNews\/status\/1305565126108602368?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 14, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>So, I\u2019m asking, &#8220;Why would they send the guy out to a bug-infested wheat field?&#8221; And it became crystal clear. Because Plugs decided to make a speech on the climate and how Trump is destroying it. He said that there are four historic crises that are threatening the United States at this time. One is the pandemic. The other is the economy. Another one is climate change. And the fourth crisis is white supremacists.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, my friends, the pandemic crisis, the economic crisis, the climate change crisis, and the white supremacist crisis are the four crises facing America. I have a couple of sound bites from Plugs\u2019 speech. He took no questions again, by the way.<\/p>\n<p>This is an event that\u2019s outside and I can\u2019t wait for the photos of the event because we\u2019re gonna see that there were probably no more four media people there, and they\u2019re going to be separated by six to 10 feet. They\u2019re gonna be inside of white circles that were drawn for them to stand inside of. It\u2019s gonna look ridiculous. And he took no questions whatsoever because he can\u2019t. So in the first bite he calls Trump a climate arsonist and says that America is basically going to be on fire and underwater if Trump is reelected.<\/p>\n<p>BIDEN: We have four more years of Trump\u2019s climate denial. How many suburbs will be burned in wildfires? How many suburban neighborhoods will have been flooded out? How many suburbs will have been blown away in super storms? To give a climate arsonist four more years in the White House, why would anyone be surprised we have more America ablaze? If you give a climate denier four more years in the White House, why would anyone be surprised when more of America is underwater?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Now, ladies and gentlemen, aside from how Plugs sounds on the verge there of slurring the words and running them together, stop for a moment and just analyze the substance of what he said here. If we have four more years of Trump\u2019s climate denial, how many suburbs will be burned in wildfires?<\/p>\n<p>What Trump is in denial of is the concept of man-made climate change. Trump does not accept that American progress and advancement is to blame for climate change. The fact that our climate is changing is acknowledged. It changes every day. It changes constantly. It is never static. Our climate is constantly in various stages of change, but there\u2019s nothing we can do about it. We don\u2019t stop the change that the climate\u2019s engaged in, and we can\u2019t create the change. It\u2019s beyond our capabilities.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-364033\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/APP-091420-Biden-Corn-Field.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/APP-091420-Biden-Corn-Field.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/APP-091420-Biden-Corn-Field-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/APP-091420-Biden-Corn-Field-480x270.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But the Democrats want you to believe that humanity, particularly Republican human beings, have the ability to start fires and to make them worse and to start hurricanes and to steer them and to increase the number of hurricanes and their intensity. And aside from starting fires, which anybody can do, all of that is flat-out BS. Because if we had the kind of power that Joe Biden assigns to us, then we could stop all of this.<\/p>\n<p>And they are trying to convince you that they can, when they can\u2019t. They can\u2019t stop the fires. Not the way their current environmental policy is. You know why there are fires in California right now? Wrong question. Do you know why the fires are spreading so rapidly? Is because the Democrats do not permit the removal of all of the deadwood that ends up in a forest year after year after year.<\/p>\n<p>Forests are like any other living organism. Elements of them die. Trees die, various members of the forest die. If you don\u2019t go in there and clear-cut that stuff out of there, you are essentially allowing the buildup of kindling wood. When you deny any management of forests, then you are creating a tinderbox circumstance. And this is exactly what California officials have done under the belief that going in and tampering with whatever they claim nature is is going to damage it.<\/p>\n<p>The fact of the matter is, we have domain over the environment. We have learned things that we can do to limit the damage done by lightning strikes or random fires that are started for purely accidental reasons. You simply take the fuel away from the fire. That\u2019s what you do. The Democrats do not permit that policy. You cannot remove the fuel.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s look at the rolling blackouts in California. There are people in southern California &#8212; well, throughout the state. I mean, I\u2019ve mentioned this before, I\u2019m gonna mention it again. When a California resident receives a tweet from a mayor, from a local community that says, &#8220;Okay. Time to unplug the toaster if you\u2019re not using it. Time to unplug the microwave. Time to unplug all appliances you\u2019re not using. Time to take a lot of pressure away from the grid, time to raise the thermostat to 78 degrees.&#8221; Why?<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s contrast California with Florida. Florida is much hotter than California and consistently so. Here in Florida, South Florida &#8212; well, the whole state in the summertime &#8212; we have a tropical existence. We have high humidity and high temperatures. The feel-like temperature right now in Florida is 101. The real temperature is 87. The feel-like temperature is 101. That\u2019s humidity. It\u2019s like this all summer. It\u2019s like this five months of the year through the month of September.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-363721\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/APP-091120-California-FIRES-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/APP-091120-California-FIRES-3.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/APP-091120-California-FIRES-3-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/APP-091120-California-FIRES-3-480x270.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At no time do we get a tweet from a mayor telling us to turn off our appliances. At no time do we get a tweet saying the power is gonna be turned off for three hours. It doesn\u2019t happen. And air-conditioning, for those who have it in Florida, is a 24\/7 proposition practically year round. There are days where you turn the air-conditioning off because you don\u2019t need any or you might even need heat for a couple days, but the point is we have a far greater burden on our electrical grid than California does.<\/p>\n<p>Why, then, do we never get rolling blackouts or brownouts, why are we never told that we\u2019re gonna be losing power for three hours every day for the week? Why are we not told to unplug the microwave or the toaster? Because we in Florida, where there is no income tax, by the way, we in Florida use fossil fuels to power the various grids that provide electricity throughout the state. In California they don\u2019t. In California they have gotten rid of natural gas power plants to the tune of like nine gazillion megawatts or whatever, they have literally gotten rid of it, and they have replaced it with wind and solar.<\/p>\n<p>Wind and solar cannot replace what they have gotten rid of in California, especially if there\u2019s overcast or if there isn\u2019t any wind, then you get no power from it. If there\u2019s cloud cover, you get no power from the solar panels. But in California, the people there were lied to enough that they stupidly voted to get rid of fossil fuel generated electricity, under the guise that they were saving their planet from climate change.<\/p>\n<p>Now, look. They\u2019ve done it. They have implemented these stupid policies. They\u2019ve implemented all of this green and clean energy, all of these renewables. And what do they have? Out of control fires that are destroying the state. And what are they doing? They\u2019re blaming climate change? No. They can\u2019t blame climate change. They just took climate change out of the equation. They\u2019ve got renewable energy in California. They\u2019ve got green energy. They\u2019ve got state-of-the-art, wind and solar. They got rid of all of the poison that was causing climate change. They got rid of an excess of fossil fuels.<\/p>\n<p>They ought to be having absolute utopia perfection in California. And yet the state is burning alive. The state is burning alive, and somehow, according to Joe Biden, this has become the fault of Donald Trump. This is an absurdity that is as senseless as anything Biden has ever claimed. What\u2019s happening in California is the result of liberal Democrat policy implementation. There is no other explanation for this. Fossil fuels, oil. Oil is gonna destroy everything. So they replace oil and natural gas, which is the cleanest thing you can get next to nuclear, and they get rid of all of the cleanest ways of producing abundant power with wind and solar. They do not clean out the deadwood from the forests. So lightnings strikes happen, idiots leave matches burning, flick a cigarette away, fires start however they start.<\/p>\n<p>They have no way of putting them out because they have no way of controlling them because they have simply allowed kindling wood, deadwood to pile up and pile up year after year after year, which fuels these fires sufficiently so that they cannot put them out.<\/p>\n<p>Then they\u2019ve got rolling blackouts and no electricity because they have systematically destroyed their own ability to produce enough to meet the needs of the people of the state under the guise that doing so destroys the planet. So these people in California, they have fixed the climate change problem. They\u2019ve got green energy. They\u2019ve got renewables. They\u2019ve got solar, and they\u2019ve got wind, and they got rid of fossil fuels, right? They ought to be happy and singing the praises of utopian climate change. Except the state is burning out of control, and there are rolling blackouts, people are doing without electricity.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t understand it. I don\u2019t understand it. They took the steps necessary to stop climate change. They did what they had to do to stop man-made climate change, and now they\u2019re blaming the forest fires on climate change and Donald Trump for not being a believer. How in the world can there even be fires when they have done everything necessary to stop climate change? Well, they have. I mean, they\u2019ve gotten rid of all that natural gas. They voted for it. They bought it. They believed it. Now Biden\u2019s out there claiming that all of this is Donald Trump\u2019s fault because he\u2019s a denier? I\u2019ll tell you, with everything California\u2019s done, the sensible thing would be to deny that climate change is relevant because these people have proven it. They have proven climate change has nothing to do with what\u2019s going on in California.<\/p>\n<p>Well, they\u2019ve taken the steps to eliminate the ravages of climate change. They got rid of fossil fuels. They got wind and solar out the wazoo. Green energy. They got renewable energy. They\u2019ve got sustainable green. What is happening in the state? You can look at it as easily as I can and see.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Did I call this or did I call this? Here is the picture of Joe Biden in the grass and wheat field. Look at this, exactly as I predicted. Folks, I swear to you I did not see this picture before it was furnished to me. You got Biden and few reporters there, three of them in circles. Look how far they are from him. Look how few reporters there are. You got the wheat field behind him. He\u2019s in the distance there at the podium.<\/p>\n<p>He was wearing a mask for much of this. And there\u2019s no need for that. He took no questions, and these reporters didn\u2019t even try to ask any. They didn\u2019t even care. They were just there as functionaries. What an absolute embarrassment.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Donald Trump bounds off Air Force One in Sacramento, does an impromptu news conference with no teleprompter, takes questions from the assembled Drive-By Media, and then has a meeting with local officials about the fire situation and heads off to do something about it.<\/p>\n<p>And not a single action that Trump took is anything Biden could do. Biden couldn\u2019t bound off the airplane, have a meeting, do a press conference with the media, without a teleprompter and then meet with officials and go off to do something about the fire. It\u2019s like every other meeting that Biden has with the media, inside or out &#8212; and look at these reporters. You know, they\u2019re like buffoons. They\u2019re told to stay inside their circle, and they stay inside their circle. And they\u2019re told not to ask questions, and they don\u2019t ask questions. And when Biden wants to leave, they dutifully stand up and applaud as he walks out.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Air Force One drops out of the sky in Sacramento, California, Trump bounds off the airplane, gives an impromptu, off-the-cuff press conference, takes more questions than Biden has taken in the last week. He outlines the entire day to the press corps so they know what\u2019s happening, unlike Biden who couldn\u2019t remember his one event tomorrow. They asked him, &#8220;Where you gonna be tomorrow?&#8221; Jill Biden: &#8220;We\u2019re going to Florida. We\u2019re traveling.&#8221; Biden says, &#8220;Oh, yeah, we\u2019re traveling.&#8221; He didn\u2019t know where he was even gonna be tomorrow. And he probably won\u2019t know until he gets there.<\/p>\n<p>And here is Donald Trump this afternoon, McClellan Park, California, Sacramento, McClellan airport, former Air Force Base. I\u2019ve been in and out of this airport I don\u2019t know how many times. I know exactly where this was. Dangerously close to Rio Linda, by the way. Unidentified reporter: &#8220;What would you like to see done on the issue of forest management?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>THE PRESIDENT: With regard to the forest. When trees fall down, after a short period of time, about 18 months, they become very dry, they become really like a match stick. You know, no more water pouring through and they become very, very &#8212; they just explode. Also, leaves, when you have years of leaves, dried leaves on the ground, it just sets it up. I mean, they have to do cuts in between. So, if you do have a fire and it gets away, you\u2019ll have a 50-yard cut in between so it won\u2019t be able to catch to the other side. They don\u2019t do that.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: It\u2019s called clearcutting, and everybody knows it. Forest management is crucial. What he\u2019s talking about, you have a 50-yard clear-cut period where you clear out clear out 50 yards in length &#8212; maybe it\u2019s 50 square yards if you want worth of trees that are dead or soon will be with be, and that\u2019s how you stop a fire if one starts. You simply get rid of the fuel.<\/p>\n<p>California does not permit anybody to get rid of the fuel. Trump is exactly right here. You get more in one answer here than you get the entire Paris climate accord. Not only do you get rid of the dead trees when they fall down, you clear-cut. But in California this is considered to be destruction, destruction of the natural habitat. This is man-caused climate change. It just a bunch of idiots.<\/p>\n<p>The answer to this is liberals are ignorant. They\u2019re dumb. They do not know what they\u2019re talking about. They haven\u2019t the slightest idea how to manage anything. They\u2019re nothing but a bunch of academics that sit around in faculty lounge type environments and they start talking about how much smarter they are than everybody else and yet they\u2019ve never had any practical experience in doing anything. I\u2019m talking about elected leaders, and even some of the rank-and-file left-wing, liberal Democrat voters. It\u2019s stunning. It is stunning.
