RUSH: Dallas, Texas, Steve, welcome to the EIB Network, sir. Great to have you with us.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Dittos, Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: The president\u2019s talking about these exemptions for corporations now, extending these tax cuts to allow R&amp;D to be fully written off, $50 billion, some sort of tax exemption.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Does anybody really think that\u2019s gonna last after the election if we don\u2019t get Republican House and Senate? You can see in March, Nancy trotting up and saying, ‘We just can\u2019t afford these tax cuts. We can\u2019t afford to not get this $200 billion,\u2019 or whatever it\u2019s supposed to cost, ‘in these tax cuts.\u2019 It\u2019s just nuts. We can\u2019t afford to let \u2019em go the direction they\u2019re going.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait a minute. Wait, wait, wait. You\u2019re saying that this is what Pelosi\u2019s going to say if the Republicans win the House and Senate?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I\u2019m saying if Republicans don\u2019t win the House and Senate —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, let me tell you something. If the Republicans don\u2019t win the House of Representatives, something really, really, really major out of whack is going on. And even if they do, we\u2019re not going to talk about what the Republicans are going to be and what they\u2019re going to do if they win, but the idea that they might not win the House — where are you getting that?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Like it was said last week on your program, they\u2019re setting us up now with, ‘Oh, the Republicans might win 90 seats or 80 seats,\u2019 and that way if they only win 50 or 40 it looks like a loss. I believe we\u2019ll take the House. I hope we\u2019ll take the Senate, but we\u2019ve gotta take one.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: If we don\u2019t get one there\u2019s going to be a lot of pain for everybody involved for the next two years.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, now, this is the first I\u2019ve heard that they\u2019re setting us up, that we\u2019re gonna get 90 seats, hundred seats, even if we win the House it\u2019s a loss?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right, because we didn\u2019t get as many as the pundits and the Drive-Bys are saying we should get.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh. <\/p>\n

CALLER: The spin is the spin, and it\u2019s always going to be spun incorrectly.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. Here\u2019s the real story, and it\u2019s actually in the New York Times: ‘Democrats Plan Political Triage to Retain House.\u2019 Political triage. Now, triage is set up after an accident. That\u2019s where you have to let some people die, you have to decide who is worth treating and who isn\u2019t. I mean when you\u2019re in an emergency situation you do not have at that moment full medical capability available, so you have to treat those with the most likelihood of survival. That\u2019s what triage is. So the Democrats plan political triage, which means they\u2019re already calculating which of their people are guaranteed losers, and they\u2019re not gonna spend any money on the people they think are guaranteed to lose and spend that money on people they think have a chance to win so that their losses are not quite as severe as are forecast. Here\u2019s a quote from the story. ‘Ultimately, these races come down to a choice,\u2019 said a freshman who represents the Eastern Shore of Maryland, where Sen. John McCain beat Obama by 18 points two years ago. ‘The national part of it has some impact, but I think the bigger part of it is voters looking at people and deciding who is best going to represent them.\u2019 Yeah, like nobody wanted Obamacare, but we have it? These people are so far off the beaten path, I don\u2019t know what they\u2019re talking about.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, this, folks, this is just too rich. Our old buddy Roger Simon in The Politico: ‘Polls Lie About Obama.\u2019 It\u2019s not really as bad for Obama out there as the polls indicate. And you know why? Because polls lie all the time and that\u2019s because people lie to pollsters. This is the first time a mainstream media guy has ever questioned a poll, when it is anti-Obama, when it looks bad for Obama. They live by these.
