So when we\u2019re watching television, it\u2019s&amp;hellip; Well, nine o\u2019clock, it\u2019s three in the afternoon here. And one day I get up and <img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125108.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"867\" class=\"alignright\"\/>I\u2019m kind of groggy and I\u2019m padding into the kitchen here, and there\u2019s about six of us there, and I\u2019m looking at this story that some guy has taken hostages at the Discovery Channel building in Maryland. And the sound is on, but there\u2019s no closed-captioning on &#8212; my friends don\u2019t take into account that I can\u2019t hear. So the closed-captioning is not on, there\u2019s all kinds of ruckus so I really can\u2019t hear what\u2019s being said on the TV, so I\u2019m having to read the graphics on Fox, and all of a sudden I see a picture of this guy, James Lee, and that he\u2019s holding hostages because he\u2019s ticked off that the Discovery Channel\u2019s not running more save-the-planet programming, and then I see that this guy was inspired by Algore! And before I saw that, you know, I said, &#8216;I just know the media is just hoping to indicate this guy was a Rush Limbaugh listener.\u2019 Turns out he\u2019s a nutcase, now deceased, environmentalist wacko nutcase inspired by Gore!<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>Who was the first nutcase inspired by Gore? The Unabomber! The Unabomber had Gore\u2019s book in his one-room shack (wherever it was), and this guy, James Lee, they had this guy\u2019s brother-in-law on the phone: &#8216;Well, he\u2019s a little weird.\u2019 Yeah, I\u2019d say so: hostages, Discovery Channel not doing enough to save the planet. And this guy was actually of the belief &#8212; see, the big problem people make here &#8212; he\u2019s not a wacko. He is mainstream environmentalist belief: human beings are the problem with the planet. For all of my 22 years, all I\u2019ve had to deal with is the media worried about all of the nutcases that I and others on talk radio and Fox News are inspiring, and yet none of the people that listen to this program do anything extreme or weird like this; it\u2019s always these leftists that do. And here\u2019s Gore, a Nobel prize winner for all of this, and this poor guy watches Gore\u2019s movie, reads Gore\u2019s book, and goes nuts! And actually believes we\u2019re destroying the planet! And look what happens: He takes hostages, thinks about killing people, ends up getting killed himself, blames the television network. And we still haven\u2019t &#8212; maybe we have; I haven\u2019t seen it &#8212; seen a whole lot of stories, &#8216;What kind of behavior is Algore inspiring here? What kind of lunatic behavior is Algore and his movie and his book inspiring?\u2019 These people are portrayed as, you know, fringe wackos and so forth, when they\u2019re not. They are mainstream environmentalist wackos. I use the term &#8216;wacko\u2019 simply to say that they\u2019re nutcase. I mean, this guy, &#8216;No more babies! No more babies! Babies are pestilence!\u2019<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>Oh. I\u2019m told, ladies and gentlemen, I was wrong, that it was not the Reverend Jackson\u2019s car. It was borrowed. I should\u2019ve known. Reverend doesn\u2019t pay for his own cars. It was a borrowed Escalade that got stripped; he just happened to be using it that day. So I mean, theoretically, you could say it was his car, but I don\u2019t think the Reverend owned it. <\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>Now, from the AP report on September 1st on this Discovery guy: &#8216;At the trial, The Gazette of Montgomery County reported, he said he began working to save the planet after being laid off from his job in San Diego. He said he was inspired by &#8216;Ishmael,\u2019 a novel by environmentalist [wacko] Daniel Quinn and by former Vice President Al Gore\u2019s documentary &#8216;An Inconvenient Truth.&#8221; And they got hold of this Ishmael author, Daniel Quinn (paraphrase), &#8216;Well, I certainly didn\u2019t inspire this kind of behavior!\u2019 Well, what the hell do you think is going to happen when you get hold of people who are fragilely balanced in the first place, who are desperately seeking any reason whatsoever to tell themselves they matter? <\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>I mean, this is the trick to much of modern liberalism, extreme leftism, the environmental movement: take a bunch of people who think that they\u2019re irrelevant, a bunch of people who only want to matter. We all want to matter, we all want our lives to have purpose. You target a bunch of people whose lives don\u2019t matter in their own minds, and you turn \u2019em into eco-warriors. I mean, what could be more important than saving the planet? These guys, these James Lee types, get all caught up in it, and run around and do the things that they do, believe the things that they believe, literally Algore and these environmentalist nutcases, and it\u2019s all a hoax. It\u2019s all a lie. Story last week from the IPCC, the UN panel on climate change, even more lies, even more mistakes. Totally politically oriented, and look at the kind of people that they are inspiring with all of this. (interruption) Well, it is. The whole environmental movement, whole global warming thing, is nothing but a pack of lies, and yet they\u2019ve inspired all these nutcases to believe it. <\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>&#8216;A lengthy posting that could be seen Wednesday on a website registered to Lee expressed anger against the Discovery Channel and said it promoted overpopulation&amp;hellip; He said the network and its affiliates should stop &#8216;encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants.\u2019 Instead, he said, it should air &#8216;programs encouraging human sterilization and infertility.&#8221; This is extreme to the max! This is insane extremism to the max! And yet where does it come from? It comes from what is considered to be mainstream liberalism. Global warming is an accepted mainstream leftist thought. And look what it inspires people to, look where it takes them. &#8216;He also railed against &#8216;programs promoting War\u2019 and said solutions should be found for global warming and automotive and factory pollution.\u2019 No quotes from Gore, said to be on vacation still, since September 1st. They don\u2019t even go to Gore asking, &#8216;What do you think about this guy who was inspired by you?\u2019 They can\u2019t find Algore. He has no comment on this. Do you think anybody on the right would get away with being on vacation and no comment?<\/line><\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Here is Algore &#8212; this is a Reuters story from September 24th, 2008 &#8212; and the headline of the story: &#8216;Gore Urges Civil Disobedience to Stop Coal Plants &#8212; Nobel Peace Prize winner and environmental crusader Al Gore urged young people on Wednesday to engage in civil disobedience to stop the construction of coal plants without the ability to store carbon. &#8230; Algore said, &#8216;I believe we have reached the stage where it is time for civil disobedience to prevent the construction&#8230;&#8221; So the guy\u2019s out there, Gore is encouraging the kind of stuff that this nutcase James Lee engaged in, and I just know if there were something comparable to this on the right, we\u2019d still be hearing about it and they would be doing everything they could to discredit anybody who would inspire this kind of hate-filled behavior and this violent behavior. But there\u2019s no real urgency to try to find Algore and get his thoughts on this, and yet here\u2019s this second nutcase inspired by &#8212; the first guy was the Unabomber &#8212; the Discovery gunman was a global warmer, a global eco-warrior. <\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Teresa in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, great to have you on the EIB Network. It turns out, I went and I checked \u2019cause I heard it on Fox News, and I thought it was a joke. So I went and I Googled it and I checked on it, and sure enough, it\u2019s a story right out of the LA Times, and the fact is that they had to replace two 3,800-square-foot plot of land around it because it was contaminated. But also the school is near underground tanks from a nearby gas station, near an oil well, above an oil field, and on top of contaminated groundwater. I mean it\u2019s so bizarre.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: (laughing) It\u2019s perfect is what it is.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Is it gonna glow in the dark or what?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: No, no. Teresa, it\u2019s not bizarre, it\u2019s perfect. It\u2019s like putting a mosque at Ground Zero.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Uh-huh. Well, hello. Welcome to our world.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Why did you think it was a joke, just because you heard about it on Fox News?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Come on. Gore, no, not because &#8212; I thought it was light news, oh, yes, sure, they\u2019re going to build it. No, no, it\u2019s built. They spent $75.5 million for this facility, and then on top of that they had to spend $4 million cleanup on top of it in a city &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I know.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: &#8212; that\u2019s going down in bankruptcy.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Exactly right.
