CALLER: I\u2019m calling today because I\u2019m an 18-year-old college student. I\u2019ve been listening to you probably since my middle school years, and I just really want to let you know the impact you\u2019ve had on my life and the outlooks you\u2019ve given me. I really wouldn\u2019t be the same person without you today.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Um… (chuckles) That\u2019s so nice of you to say. I… You… That\u2019s… I don\u2019t know. You\u2019re rendering me speechless here. That\u2019s such a compliment. Your generation, 18 to 20 years old, to be able to reach people like you is a… That\u2019s a great thing. That\u2019s a… You\u2019re making my day with this. I can\u2019t say… (chuckles) I really appreciate it.<\/p>\n
CALLER: No. If I could add one thing, I think in today\u2019s world of social media, how kids my age are addicted to it? I think you\u2019re gonna be really surprised come Election Day the results of our age-group voting for Trump. I really think they\u2019ll be surprised.<\/p>\n
RUSH: I hope you are right. I live… You know, your existence is what I literally hope for out there. The fact that there are people like you, I hope it. I hope that there are lot of people like you — in your demographic, in your age-group — that see things as they are. Thank you so much, Ethan.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I tell you, folks, it floors me. We\u2019ve had two people call today. We had an 18-year-old young man telling me that I have changed his life. We had somebody from a completely different demographic say the same thing. And I get tongue-tied. I don\u2019t quite know how to react other than to say thank you. I mean, it has profound meaning, and I deeply appreciate it. I just don\u2019t quite know how to express that.<\/p>\n
But I want you to know that it\u2019s really deeply appreciated. It\u2019s almost — I don\u2019t want to say embarrassing because that would mean that I don\u2019t take what people are saying seriously. And it\u2019s exact opposite. I really do.
