CALLER: Hey, Rush. Good to talk to you. Before I get started I just want to give you kudos on promoting products, because all those people who question whether or not you promote them because you\u2019re biased or whatever. I\u2019m a software engineer, and Carbonite, brilliant, brilliant idea. I wish I thought of it. Anyway, you don\u2019t know how many times it saved my life.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. Before I get to my point, I want to give a shout-out to my wife, beautiful wife, Emily, my best friend, who turned me to you soon after Obama got elected. And I gotta tell you, over the past 20 months I\u2019ve learned so much, and it\u2019s been incredible. So thank you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You\u2019re welcome, sir. Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Anyway, I have a lot of insight on Islam, and I was a Muslim, 18 years ago I became a Christian. And so I\u2019ve got a lot of insight, and I\u2019m gonna have to —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Does that make you an apostate?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Say again? <\/p>\n

RUSH: It makes you apostate.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Probably by calling your show, I\u2019m, you know —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. I was gonna say.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — putting a target on my back. And, you know, that\u2019s really the point of my call today. The fact is that, you know, I got two points here, and I\u2019m going to condense them here in the short time that I have, and, number one is that I became a Christian about 18 years ago. I got to this country when I was 16 years old, and I had hopes and dreams, and I came to this country because it was free. I mean you can do great things with this freedom. You can have unlimited opportunities. And little by little everything\u2019s being taken away and when he got elected I was so incredibly upset, so your show has helped me a lot.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you very much, what about Obama in this thing, he\u2019s considered an apostate, too, because he was born a Muslim.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Absolutely. That\u2019s what I\u2019m trying to get at. I can\u2019t talk about — I\u2019m talking to you about my faith on national radio but knowing that it\u2019s going to paint a big target on my back and that\u2019s the point. The fact is once you see, once you find out who Jesus is and what he\u2019s done for your life, you can\u2019t stop talking about it. So if he is a Christian or a Muslim, if he\u2019s a Christian, then he can just come out and say, ‘Yes, I\u2019m a Christian,\u2019 period.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, he has.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I know, but he doesn\u2019t come out and denounce his Muslim faith. He dances around that. To me, the fact that he\u2019s not coming out strong on the other side tells me that he\u2019s not. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, I got you. Yeah, I can understand exactly. So he\u2019s not denying something fervently enough, which it\u2019s up to the interpreter as to how — in your case you — how you want to read that.
