RUSH: Here\u2019s Claire in Wilmington, Delaware, as we go back to the phones. Greetings and great to have you here.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi. Thank you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You bet.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I want to get to my point about the mosque and a cross episode up in Vermont, but I just wanted to make some points very quickly. What was it where Obama spoke and the cross had to be covered? Do you remember that?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. Georgetown University, I think.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay. So when he spoke there, the cross of my God, His son, was covered. However when he speaks, I have not heard that man talk about ‘the Holy Bible.\u2019 However on certain occasions, or more than one, I\u2019ve heard him talk about not ‘the Koran,\u2019 but ‘the Holy Quor\u2019an,\u2019 to let us know that he\u2019s emphasizing the way he says that. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah?<\/p>\n

CALLER: So that\u2019s one thing. Now, with this mosque going on, up in Vermont there is a story about a woman who has — on her own personal property — put a cross. Now she\u2019s being denied a permit for that and being told to take it down, and I want to make a comparison of what I see. I used to be a Republican. I\u2019m an independent now.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: My problem is whoever is gonna lead this country, it\u2019s not going to be about Republican-Democrat. It\u2019s going to be about the person who understands what the threat to this country is, and it\u2019s communist and socialist policies. Ronald Reagan understood that. Now, what people don\u2019t tell you is over 135 million people — this is from the Congressional Record — died due to communist killings. Mass murders, basically. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n

CALLER: More people were killed under communism during times of peace than during all the wars in this country combined. Now, if people don\u2019t understand communism and socialism — and Lenin said that socialism was what would lead us to communism. That\u2019s the ultimate goal of socialism is communism.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And there was even a book written in 1958 called The Naked Communist, the goals of 1958.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. Jane Fonda workout video cover. Look, could you hang on? <\/p>\n

CALLER: Well —<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, Claire, hang on. I have to take a brief time-out. I want to continue the conversation with you. Can you hang on?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Sure.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Good, because she\u2019s too good to let go here. Jane Fonda cover: Naked Communism.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Back now to Claire in Wilmington, Delaware. I had to interrupt you because we had to go to the obscene profit time-out. You were saying?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, what I was saying first was regarding the background of how my God was covered up. The representation of my God was covered — <\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, the cross at Georgetown. Yet they photograph Obama with a halo behind him all the time or that picture from Air Force One last week where the door was made to look like angel wings. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, here\u2019s my point, the most important thing. This country, if we don\u2019t have a leader that can stand up and is able to show the ties of socialism and communism and the threat they are to this country, I mean in some ways as I sit here and think we\u2019re almost like Israel in the sense that Israel is surrounded by people that are enemies to them, basically.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: But as you look, communism is in eastern Europe; it\u2019s spreading through Latin and Central America; it\u2019s still behind the scenes in Russia; it\u2019s now entrenched in this country through so many bogus organizations they say they\u2019re this for America but they\u2019re communist ties doing nothing more than trying to tear this country down. And if this country doesn\u2019t realize that, that\u2019s basically what we are — <\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, now, having said all that, Claire, I have a penetrating and hard-hitting question for you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Because you started out saying you used to be a Republican.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hm-hmm.<\/p>\n

RUSH: But now you are an independent.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s correct.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right. Now, if you are not a Republican, but you oppose liberalism, socialism, communism, then how are you helping us take back the Republican Party? How many independents are going to be elected this November?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I have to tell you, I\u2019m in the process of actually switching back, because of the upcoming primaries that are coming up. And I\u2019ll tell you what turned me on the Republicans. First of all, in my state when Mike Castle voted for the cap and trade, I was done.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, well, Castle\u2019s a RINO.<\/p>\n

CALLER: But there\u2019s many of them in this party and there\u2019s too many that don\u2019t understand.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s right. That\u2019s why you\u2019ve gotta stay in it and take over and make them the minority in the party.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I want to echo one other thing, and that is true, that is true. I think if there\u2019s a shot at communism, the danger to this country, it\u2019s going to have to be a Republican because I know it won\u2019t come from a Democrat, but I\u2019m not even sure at this point if the Republicans understand it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s another thing that you\u2019re pretty close to being right on, and that\u2019s why abandoning the party and going independent is a ticket to third party, which is a guaranteed winner for Democrats.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, that may be so. I can still vote as I say, but I\u2019ll tell you, Rush, the most important, it isn\u2019t even who you vote for, again, if people don\u2019t understand the ties, if these people running for office do not understand the ties — and I\u2019ll make a connection. The Naked Communist, the goals of 1958 were written, okay, that was a book, and one of their goals — well, there were several goals. The first thing they knew they had to do was to dethrone God, morality in this country, which would be the collapse of the family unit, and attack patriotism. Okay, by 1962, prayer was out of our schools. In that short of time they accomplished one of their goals. By doing all this they\u2019re breaking the family unit down, they\u2019re dumbing down the schools. If you look right now abortion is high, we have a 40% illegitimate birthrate, 50% divorce rate. We\u2019ve had one of the highest teenage suicide rates. There\u2019s no identity in this country anymore. If this country does not wake up and we do not have a leader that understands like Ronald Reagan what the threats of communism and socialism is and how they are pulling us down — there\u2019s a purpose to this open borders, they\u2019re pitting blacks against whites, pitting the rich against the poor, to keep dividing and dividing and dividing and dividing this country to the point that no one trusts anyone. That has gotta stop. And, if anything, the best thing that could happen in this country is if the blacks and the whites could band together. If nothing else, if there is nothing else we can agree on, we share the same God, we share the same religious beliefs, and that is the thing they know they have to cut down.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know something, you\u2019re right about this. And to prove it, look at what these people had to do to get Obama victory, portray him as just what you said we need to do, is unify. Everybody wants that. People don\u2019t like this division. They don\u2019t like the racial partitioning. They don\u2019t like men versus women. They don\u2019t like all of this cultural divide, they don\u2019t like it, and if somebody is presented to them as a unifier who will bridge all these gaps, they\u2019ll fall for it. They did. What we need is somebody who means it and knows how to do it and understands why the divides exist and thus how to bridge them. So, Claire, thanks much. Good call.
