RUSH: Taylor, Michigan. This is Marilyn. I appreciate your patience, and welcome to the EIB Network.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush. Thanks for having me on. Just excuse my voice. I\u2019m so mad. But, I\u2019ll tell you what, on 9\/11 a bunch of terrorists, they hijacked planes and they flew them right into buildings and blew \u2019em up and now I\u2019m watching Ground Zero be hijacked. It\u2019s the same feelings in my heart. It\u2019s like when I turned on the TV and watched the planes fly —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, now, now, now. Marilyn, I encourage you to dial back this rhetoric. This heated rhetoric is not going to help the Republicans. It might in fact hurt the Republicans, the Democrats are telling us here.<\/p>\n

CALLER: You know what? Nancy Pelosi ought to come out to Taylor. She can investigate me personally one on one. One on one.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing)<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m the same size as her, and I\u2019m just as ugly, so —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Investigate you one on one?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. And, you know, my background is Polish American, and in World War II the Nazis blew up a historic village. It was a medieval town. And after World War II — and they were under the communists, they were so poor — but the Poles rebuilt that village brick by brick to show them that they weren\u2019t defeated by the Nazis. They have a saying, ‘Poland has not yet perished.\u2019 And here we don\u2019t let a church that was a victim of 9\/11 get rebuilt at Ground Zero.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: They\u2019re gonna bring in something that was never there in the first place. I mean I\u2019m so mad —<\/p>\n

RUSH: A lot of people are.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — I don\u2019t know what to do.<\/p>\n

RUSH: A lot of people are. Don\u2019t forgot, too, Marilyn, the landing gear from one of those planes — and the New York Times has this on July 13th of this year — the landing gear from one of those planes fell into that building where the Hamasque is gonna go up, and that made the value of the building plunge from $18 million down to four million so the imam is getting the Hamasque at a bargain price thanks to the landing gear of the plane landing on the building. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Mr. Limbaugh, thank you so much for taking my call.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You bet.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Dittos from Boston.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s a pleasure to speak with you. I am just so infuriated at this administration. I mean, among other things, now telling us that we need to be investigated for opposing this when they\u2019re not even gonna investigate the imam for this mosque. It\u2019s not the fact that the mosque is being built here. It\u2019s that this imam is doing it. He is tied to the ‘Free Gaza\u2019 movement, which was one of the founding — the key organizer of the flotilla.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I mean this is crazy. I can\u2019t believe that this is happening. I mean, what does he need 15 floors for a mosque and a cultural center for? Fifteen.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, it\u2019s going to have a swimming pool in there.<\/p>\n

CALLER: A swimming pool, but he\u2019s put out this — it\u2019s called the Sharia Index Project —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — which lists all the things that he\u2019s going to do, but there are six floors that are missing, there\u2019s no explanation, that\u2019s a lot of space there, and it seems to me like he wants to enforce Sharia law in America, and this is the reason I think that Americans are very opposed to this.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, I think you\u2019re right about that, and I think if everybody knew what Sharia law is and what its objectives are I think you\u2019d have —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Can I ask you one follow-up question? I\u2019m sorry to interrupt you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, go ahead. I\u2019m just the host.<\/p>\n

CALLER: How do the liberals support an imam that wants to enforce Sharia law knowing what Sharia law is?<\/p>\n

RUSH: I think they\u2019re looking for votes. I think they\u2019re looking for votes from the Muslim community all over the country. <\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m not a Jew, I\u2019m a Roman Catholic, but as a Jewish American they have to be outraged, have to be.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I tell you, you\u2019re part of the majority.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Don\u2019t think otherwise. They\u2019re trying to make it look like the people in opposition to this are a fringe group. And even the latest polling data, 63% oppose this. 9\/11 families oppose it. Many of the first responders in New York oppose it. And Nancy Pelosi wants all those people investigated. Now, the imam is an envoy of the State Department. He\u2019s touring the Middle East representing us, sent there by the State Department, Obama. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush. Thanks for taking my call.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m just as upset as the first two callers, because this is not just a New York issue. This is an American issue. And those 3,000 people that died were not just 3,000 nobodies. They were 3,000 Americans, and they were not hyphenated Americans, they were not African-Americans or gay Americans, they were Americans. And also I don\u2019t think we should forget that the plane that went down in Pennsylvania did not complete its mission.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s true. I know, a lot of people are saying it\u2019s a local New York issue. It\u2019s not. I agree with you. The 9\/11 hijackers attacked America, the Pentagon. There was another target in Washington that was intended to be hit. It\u2019s debatable, White House or the Capitol building. That\u2019s the plane that went down in Pennsylvania, and of course the World Trade Center. Rebecca, thanks very much. I appreciate it. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you, sir, very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. Well, basically it seems to me either way this whole mosque situation goes down in New York, it\u2019s going to be a huge victory for the Muslim fundamentalists. Either they get to build their victory mosque — and, you know, put a big stick in the eye of the American people — or they get huge propaganda recruitment by saying we\u2019re a bunch of intolerant Muslim haters that don\u2019t actually stand for what our laws say.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, you know something? I… As Obama would say, ‘Let me say this about that.\u2019 They already say that about us.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I understand but this would be another shining example.<\/p>\n

RUSH: They already say that. Nobody\u2019s denying them permission to build a mosque. <\/p>\n

CALLER: No.<\/p>\n

RUSH: There\u2019s no law against building a mosque. People say, ‘Don\u2019t build it here.\u2019<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m totally opposed to the mosque. I\u2019m not trying to defend it. I\u2019m just saying this is going to be huge — either way this goes down it\u2019s a huge — victory for the Muslim fundamentalists is what I\u2019m saying. This is a brilliant move on their part. Either way they come out of this on top.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well —<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s what I\u2019m trying to say.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. I know what —<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s really unfortunate. I\u2019m not saying that\u2019s a good thing. I\u2019m totally against it, but once again they\u2019re using our laws and our freedom to try to destroy our freedom. It\u2019s a perfect example of it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I understand what you\u2019re saying and I totally get what you\u2019re saying —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — but I don\u2019t —<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m not trying to defend them in the slightest. I\u2019m saying this is really horrible and unfortunate they\u2019re putting us in this situation and they get to make us look this bad when they\u2019re the ones who are completely going about this wrong.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, so let me ask you a question.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Since they win regardless what happens, since we lose regardless what happens —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, I\u2019m… (sigh) Okay, I understand what you\u2019re saying. I\u2019m not trying to say America is the big loser. <\/p>\n

RUSH: — what should we do?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly, what should we do? It\u2019s a horrible situation. I don\u2019t think we should let \u2019em build it, obviously. But I\u2019m saying they\u2019re gonna get to go back to the Middle East to whoever they use to recruit all these people and say, ‘See?\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right hate us.<\/p>\n

CALLER: ‘They dislike us. They hate us.\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: They already hate us.<\/p>\n

CALLER: ‘They won\u2019t let us be Muslims there. They\u2019re not really the America they say they are.\u2019 <\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me tell you —<\/p>\n

CALLER: You know, all those things that are true they\u2019re gonna try to say to use against us like they already do like you said, but —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me tell you something.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah?<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, let me tell you something. Stopping them is crucial. Stopping them is drawing the line in the sand against Muslim extremism. Finally. They already hate us, and they\u2019re not going to love us if we let the mosque get built there. Terrorism is not gonna stop, terrorist attacks on the planning boards against Americans at American targets are not going to be tossed. It\u2019s not a win-win for them. We gotta stop looking at this that way — and we Republicans have to stop looking at Democrats like they win no matter what we do. Not true, folks.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What\u2019s that?<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s American, it screams freedom, it screams unity, let\u2019s just not build it. Let\u2019s not accept any contracts. Let\u2019s turn our backs.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, in New York you\u2019re talking about union workers.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I\u2019m talking about anybody, any contractors, anybody. Yeah, union workers, go on lunch to be stereotypical. Turn their backs.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Take a lunch break for whatever time it would take to build the mosque?<\/p>\n

CALLER: They\u2019ve got all the money. They don\u2019t have anybody to give it to. Nobody wants the money. Let\u2019s say everybody turns their back and says, ‘I don\u2019t want to build the mosque.\u2019 They can do whatever they want. But they can\u2019t give the money to anybody because nobody wants it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Interesting.<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s Martin Luther King, Jr. Don\u2019t do it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Interesting. Interesting. Of course, they\u2019ll turn this around. There\u2019s no mistake a liberal can make that can\u2019t be used to blame Republicans.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Three hundred million Americans can\u2019t be wrong.<\/p>\n

RUSH: By the way, Cookie is working on this even as we speak. The 9\/11 families have produced an ad. I haven\u2019t seen it. I\u2019m told it\u2019s pretty hard-hitting. The 9\/11 families have produced an ad against the Hamasque. I hope the audio that goes with it is pretty good. I\u2019m told it is. So we\u2019ll play that for you when Cookie grabs it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think it\u2019s an absolute insult, and it\u2019s a matter of location, not religious freedom. And, by the way, since when do the liberals and the communists concern themselves about religious freedom? They remind us about separation of church and state. We can\u2019t even say a prayer in the public schools —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Damn right. We can\u2019t say a prayer at graduation. She is right. When did they all of a sudden start caring about religious freedom? They hate the Christian right. They despise \u2019em.
