Sarah Palin says that the governor of Arizona, Jan Brewer, has something that Obama lacks: cojones. You have to love this because she\u2019s one of the few Republicans in Washington that has cojones herself, and accusing the president of the United States of not having any. Here is the audio sound bite. It was on Fox News Sunday yesterday, Chris Wallace said, ‘A federal judge has now blocked the key provisions of the Arizona immigration law. What\u2019s your response?\u2019<\/p>\n

PALIN: Jan Brewer, bless her heart, she\u2019s going to do all that she can to continue down the litigation path to allow secure borders because she\u2019s — Jan Brewer has the cojones that our president does not have to look out for all Americans, not just Arizonans but all Americans in this desire of ours to secure our borders and allow legal immigration to help build this country as was the purpose of immigration laws. If our own president will not enforce the federal law, more power to Jan Brewer and 44 other states who are in line to help support Jan Brewer in state laws, state efforts to do what our president won\u2019t do.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, this is big. I think this is a little bit more noteworthy than a lot of people are saying, especially inside the White House. Obama may not know how insulted he\u2019s been here because he doesn\u2019t know how to speak Spanish. If somebody in there speaks Spanish they\u2019re going to know what she has just said, but I mean here you have somebody with ranking in the Republican Party, a female, saying that the president of the United States does not have cojones. Now, it sounds like, ladies and gentle, if she\u2019s correct, who does our president blame? If she is right that Obama has no cojones, who was it that suggested at one point removing them? That would be the Reverend Jackson. Wednesday, July 9th of 2008: ‘Civil rights leader Jesse Jackson complained on Tuesday that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama can seem to be ‘talking down to black people\u2019 at times and should broaden his message. … Jackson, talking to CNN on Wednesday, said Obama has given what amounts to ‘lectures\u2019 at African-American churches. ‘I said it can come off as speaking down to black people. The moral message must be a much broader message.\u2019 … In an aside to another guest after a Fox News Channel interview on Sunday, Jackson had said Obama had been talking down to black people and added: ‘I want to cut his nuts out.” That was caught on tape and it was not part of the interview, the microphone was still on. <\/p>\n

So Sarah Palin says the president of the United States has no cojones and the Reverend Jackson has expressed a desire in the past to make that a reality. ‘He said on CNN: ‘I was in a conversation with a fellow guest at Fox on Sunday. He asked about Barack\u2019s speeches lately at the black churches. I said it can come off as speaking down to black people. And then I said something I felt regret for — it was crude. It was very private, and very much a sound bite — and a live mike. I find no comfort in it, I find no joy in it.” We saw it, the video, the Reverend Jackson seemed very happy when he made the statement. And back in May of 2008, none other than James Carville, the Clintons\u2019 ubiquitous former aide, booster and informal advisor made the point even more vividly, giving Clinton a two-gonad edge in her primary rival. James Carville said that Hillary\u2019s got more gonads than Obama. Now, Hillary took it as a compliment, by the way. What Carville said was, ‘If she gave him one of her cojones they\u2019d both have two.\u2019 <\/line> <\/line> So, folks, can you remember at a time ever in your life whether or not the president has any cojones has been discussed and people on both sides of the aisle have suggested no, and that women, the governor of Arizona and Hillary Clinton have more gonads, cojones, than Barack Hussein Obama, mmm, mmm, mmm. And that\u2019s not all. May 6th of 2008: ‘Evan Bayh was halfway through telling a story about ‘a steelworker in Northern Indiana\u2019 on stage beside his Senate colleague, Hillary Clinton. ‘Anybody know what he said?\u2019 Bayh asked at the Saturday rally, starting to quote the steelworker: ‘Our candidate is the one in the race –.\u2019 Clinton cut him off with a whisper and an urgent gesture. ‘She doesn\u2019t want me to go there,\u2019 Bayh told the crowd. ‘OK. I won\u2019t. All right, all right.” The Politico, by the way, reported this May 6th, 2008. ‘Clinton may not like the story, but her supporters love it: The sheet metal workers union official in Portage, Indiana cited by Bayh had praised her ‘testicular fortitude\u2019 before lighting into unnamed ‘Gucci wearing, latte-drinking\u2019 opponents,\u2019 such as Barack Obama. <\/line> <\/line> So Evan Bayh, James Carville have questioned the cojones of the president while he was a candidate, claiming that Hillary had more. Here comes Sarah Palin, Fox News yesterday. You might say piling on. I mean people are laughing at the president of the United States over whether or not he\u2019s a man. They are laughing at his toughness, they are laughing at his manhood. And now we\u2019ve got Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who wants to debate Obama, not have negotiations, not have talks, but he wants to debate. Meanwhile, the Castros have decided socialism may not be the answer, that communism may not be the answer, they\u2019re going to fire a bunch of government workers and say, ‘You\u2019re on your own, people, go out and get your own jobs.\u2019 Same thing the Western socialist democracies are doing, cutting back on all their socialism when Obama\u2019s out there to the DAV today, Disabled American Vets, and he\u2019s promising even more spending, money that we don\u2019t have.<\/line><\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Last Friday on CBS Early Show, Obama was interviewed by Harry Smith. Harry Smith said, ‘The federal judge backed up your opinion of the Arizona immigration law. The method\u2019s wrong. Is the mission correct?\u2019<\/p>\n

OBAMA: I understand the frustration of the people of Arizona. But what we can\u2019t do is demagogue the issue, and what we can\u2019t do is allow a patchwork of 50 different states or cities or localities where anybody who wants to make a name for themselves suddenly says, ‘I\u2019m going to be anti-immigrant and I\u2019m gonna try to see if I can solve the problem ourselves.\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, this is the president of the United States calling the governor of Arizona a demagogue, an anti-immigrant demagogue. That\u2019s how he referred to the governor of Arizona, Jan Brewer. There are not 50 states who want a patchwork of immigration laws and Arizona does not want a patchwork law. Arizona\u2019s law mirrors the federal law that Obama refuses to enforce. It\u2019s very simple. But once again, more evidence that the president of the United States has an animus for the governor of Arizona, an animus for the people of Arizona. The president of the United States is governing against the will of the American people. Arizona\u2019s not alone in wanting to shut down the borders. Sanctuary cities, Obama doesn\u2019t care about them. Sanctuary cities are in violation of federal law. San Francisco and others where illegals can flock, get benefits and so forth. That\u2019s a patchwork. Obama doesn\u2019t care about that. But it\u2019s more evidence here of the mind-set of this administration, to govern against the will of the American people. It is shocking. <\/p>\n

Forty-eight percent, the latest Rasmussen poll, 48% blame Obama for the bad economy, 47% blame Bush. Forty-eight percent now blame Obama for the economy. He owns it, it is his. Speaking of illegal immigration, an Arizona sheriff: ‘Our Own Government Has Become Our Enemy.\u2019 One of the sheriffs out there, Paul Babeu, his deputies patrol a county near the US-Mexico border and he is hopping mad at the federal government. He told the Cybercast News Service that, ‘rather than help law enforcement in Arizona stop the hundreds of thousands of people who come into the United States illegally, the federal government is targeting the state and its law enforcement personnel. ‘What\u2019s very troubling is the fact that at a time when we in law enforcement and our state need help from the federal government, instead of sending help they put up billboard-size signs warning our citizens to stay out of the desert in my county because of dangerous drug and human smuggling and weapons and bandits and all these other things and then, behind that, they drag us into court with the ACLU,\u2019 said Babeu. <\/line> <\/line>”So who has partnered with the ACLU?\u2019 Babeu said in a telephone interview with CNSNews.com. ‘It\u2019s the president and (Attorney General) Eric Holder himself. And that\u2019s simply outrageous. … Our own government has become our enemy and is taking us to court at a time when we need help,\u2019 Babeu said.\u2019 Amen, right on, more and more people are beginning to realize this. Our own government has become the enemy governing against the will of the American people. Not partnering. Did this administration partner with anybody to help the Gulf oil spill? No. Did they partner with Arizona to stop — nope. They want the problem. They don\u2019t want a solution to it. They want the anxiety, the chaos. What Obama lacks in cojones he makes up in gall.
