CALLER: Hi, Rush. Oh, it\u2019s great to talk to you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — long, long, long, long, long, long time, and happy national junk food day.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Uhhh, thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I know you\u2019d like that. Listen, I\u2019m one of your many spies because I know you say that you don\u2019t watch other networks and programs and whatnot. So anyway, I\u2019m talking about the Shirley saga, of course. I was watching CNN and I\u2019m having a senior moment, I can\u2019t think of the guy, the host\u2019s name, but he\u2019s a tall black bald guy.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What time of day? What does it matter? They\u2019re all the same.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, it\u2019s just so that you could zero in. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Did you say a tall black balled guy?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. You played a clip of him earlier today.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What\u2019s a black balled guy? Oh, you mean a bald black guy.<\/p>\n

CALLER: A bald black guy. (laughing)<\/p>\n

RUSH: I was going to say, I\u2019m sitting here, my gosh, what am I —<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m sorry. I\u2019m nervous, I\u2019m nervous, I\u2019m nervous.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You\u2019re telling me you\u2019re having a senior moment, you knew a term I don\u2019t know about, I\u2019m saying, ‘What? I never heard of a black balled guy.\u2019<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m having a senior moment.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I mean, you wouldn\u2019t believe what I\u2019m envisioning here.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay, you know who I\u2019m talking about.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, no. I don\u2019t know who you\u2019re — was he fat?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No. No. You quoted him earlier today. You played a segment from his show. Anyway, he\u2019s in the middle of the day. He starts like maybe in an hour from now or something. Anyway, he was the first person —<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m stuck here, you\u2019ve got me trying to picture somebody bald and —<\/p>\n

CALLER: From CNN, you can\u2019t think of it in the early afternoon?<\/p>\n

RUSH: I don\u2019t have CNN. I\u2019ve got two monitors here. One of them has the NFL Network on it, the other has Fox. I don\u2019t have CNN on. So I don\u2019t know who\u2019s on CNN at what time of day. Pick one. It doesn\u2019t matter. They\u2019re all interchangeable.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay. But can I just tell you what happened?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, yeah, I mean that\u2019s the point.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. Okay, I just thought that if you wanted to verify what I\u2019m saying, you know, so that somebody doesn\u2019t say that I said something that wasn\u2019t true. Anyway, it was CNN and there\u2019s this black guy, and he was interviewing Shirley. Now, he was the first person to interview her, the first one, so you have to say that he did better reporting than other people. So this is before she got handled and now she\u2019s doing nuances and whatever. This is original, original, original. Well, of course she was livid, and she mentioned three people that she was furious with. Number one was Cox (sic). Now, I watch these channels, nobody mentions Cox, how come nobody\u2019s interviewed Cox, you know, the undersecretary person who told her to pull over on the side of the road —<\/p>\n

RUSH: You\u2019re talking about Peter Cox?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No. Well, whoever the undersecretary is. That was the person that told Shirley to pull over to the side of the road so she could resign.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, Peter Cox, okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay. How come nobody\u2019s interviewed him? Okay, so she was mad at Cox, she was mad at the NAACP, and you will love this — and that\u2019s why I wish you would find the tape — you\u2019d love this, she was furious with Roland Martin. That was the third person. And those are the only three people. And if you find the tape, it\u2019s a CNN tape, you will see where she says, ‘And Roland Martin,\u2019 and of course the guy, \u2019cause she\u2019s talking to a CNN person, says, ‘Why are you mad at Roland Martin,\u2019 or I forget how it went but anyway she says —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Snerdley, why?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Pardon? He threw her under the bus! She says, ‘He didn\u2019t bother to call me, he could have called me.\u2019 And so now —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, she was upset that Roland Martin, is that the black bald guy that you talk —<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, Roland Martin is not — is he bald? I don\u2019t think he\u2019s bald.<\/p>\n

RUSH: He\u2019s the fat guy.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, he\u2019s a fat guy. No, no, no. The host is the bald guy. The host. You played the tape —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let\u2019s see.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — of what she said —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Campbell Brown.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Huh? <\/p>\n

RUSH: Campbell Brown.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, that\u2019s a woman. Campbell Brown is a woman.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Larry King.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing) You\u2019re so funny. I just love it. You\u2019re so funny. The point that I was trying to make, Rush, is that CNN, I don\u2019t know how they could do this with a straight face. Roland Martin is sitting there with John King, and they\u2019re playing a clip of you about the Shirley thing, and Roland Martin\u2019s sitting right there, and about two or three hours —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, we played that. Now I finally know what you\u2019re talking about since you mentioned they were talking about me. We played that sound bite earlier, I think. Thank you, Cindy, very much.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, this is in incredible. It never ceases to amaze me the things that light people\u2019s fire. My e-mail is overflowing with people guessing who the black bald guy is on CNN that Cindy was talking about. And I\u2019m thinking, ‘How many can there be?\u2019 Everybody, ‘Who was it, was it Joe Johns, was it Tony Harris, was it Roland Martin?\u2019 I wouldn\u2019t know. I really do not have CNN on here. My whole point is, what does it matter which anchor it is on CNN? They\u2019re all cardboard cutouts. They\u2019re all apparatchiks. What does it matter? John King, Candy Crowley, Larry King, Campbell Brown, Roland Martin, Tony Harris, whatever, they\u2019re all the same. What comes out of each of their mouths is identical. (interruption) Yeah, I think Larry\u2019s still there. Just say it was Tony apparatchik. That\u2019s all we have to know. Joe apparatchik, Campbell apparatchik, Larry apparatchik. If it\u2019s CNN, I\u2019m telling you, it\u2019s a robot. They\u2019re all obedient servants. They\u2019re all identical.
