RUSH: Thank you. Thank you very much.<\/p>\n
CALLER: You were talking about the schools earlier, and I am so sick of all these spoiled, pampered teachers and administrators —<\/p>\n
RUSH: Oh, man, I hear you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — at the schools. You know, I\u2019m a 65-year-old nurse who has worked since COVID hit and I keep working \u2019cause I can\u2019t afford not to. And I don\u2019t get it that schools aren\u2019t essential to children and if they\u2019re not gonna open the schools, they need to stop paying the teachers.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, have you seen the teachers in Chicago are demanding that history not be taught anymore? They want it changed in the curriculum.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yeah. It makes me sick. But they need to stop paying these teachers if they\u2019re not gonna be in a classroom because, you know, they hardly learn anything in the Chicago schools and they sure aren\u2019t gonna be learning anything when they\u2019re going from home. And, you know, this has just gotten so out of control. And what it\u2019s doing to the children. I mean, I\u2019ve seen firsthand what it does to children, the isolation, the not being able to participate with friends. It\u2019s awful. It\u2019s awful. I\u2019m just so sick of these teachers thinking they\u2019re so special. You know, teachers can retire in Illinois and get, like, 75 to 80% of their salary when they\u2019re 55.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yeah, I know.<\/p>\n
CALLER: That\u2019s why Illinois is in the red.<\/p>\n
RUSH: That\u2019s one of the reasons. They\u2019ve got a pension problem out the wazoo. They\u2019ve got unfunded pension liabilities. Wait \u2019til the teachers find out there isn\u2019t any money to pay \u2019em 75 or 80%.<\/p>\n
CALLER: And I\u2019m just asking Trump not to give in, do not bail out these states. Do not bail out these states.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, the Democrats are demanding a trillion dollars for state bailouts if they are going to agree for extending unemployment benefits for people. That\u2019s one of the — ah, it\u2019s not blackmail, but it\u2019s one of the ways they\u2019re trying to hold everybody up by demanding these states, like Illinois, get a bailout.
