CALLER: Thank you so much for speaking to me.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You bet.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m a physician. I\u2019m in private practice and I think it\u2019s very interesting how you are talking about the demise of small businesses. I experienced this during the month of June. All Medicare payments were held to my practice. And, you know, it made it —<\/p>\n

RUSH: What does that mean? During the month of June all Medicare payments were held?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Held. Held. Not given to us.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You weren\u2019t paid?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, we were not paid.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, they were held back, okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Because they were trying to decide whether we were going to have a 21% fee cut in the month of June so they held back on paying us. They decided that we would not have 21% fee cut. Instead they\u2019re gonna give us a 2% fee raise, but they haven\u2019t decided when to implement that. So, at the beginning of June, payments started trickling in at like $500 a day. Well, I can\u2019t pay my rent, I can\u2019t pay my light bill, I can\u2019t pay my staff, let alone pay myself. It\u2019s like this is going to be the demise of small businesses.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. And the dirty little secret is that the states who are increasingly approaching bankruptcy are soon going to learn that under Obamacare they have to make these payments. They are going to be responsible for it. That\u2019s how the federal government says it\u2019s cutting the budget. They\u2019re just transferring the payments to the states, which don\u2019t have the money, and they can\u2019t print the money like the feds can to get — <\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, South Carolina is a poor state. We don\u2019t have extra money. We\u2019re very poor.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No state has extra money. Only people have extra money, and they are the targets.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, people aren\u2019t giving up their extra money. They\u2019re holding onto it tighter than ever —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Exactly.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — for fear of what\u2019s going on.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Exactly right. How long have you been in medicine, Victoria?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019ve been in the medical field 30 years but I\u2019ve been a practicing physician over 12.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Over 12.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Would you say 15, 20 years ago when you started studying in earnest to become a practicing physician, did you ever imagine that your compensation would come in the form of reimbursements from the federal government whenever they decided to pay you?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Never in a million years. I never thought that, because I said if they can do this now, what\u2019s to say they can\u2019t do it in the future and hold it even longer?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Exactly.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Where\u2019s the guarantee?<\/p>\n

RUSH: We\u2019re talking medicine here. We\u2019re talking people\u2019s health. I mean the doctor is the doctor. The nurse is the nurse. You can\u2019t farm this kind of work out to a subsidiary, and if the people who do this kind of work are not even going to be paid appropriately or even worse, on time, what\u2019s going to be their incentive to remain in the field?<\/p>\n

CALLER: You can\u2019t. I mean we\u2019ve already had to cut off assuming new Medicare patients.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, listen, folks, do you hear the desperation in her voice? Do you remember the guy Clint Didier yesterday, the farmer? People are desperate out there over what\u2019s happening.<\/p>\n

RUSH: To the doctor in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Ma\u2019am, you actually have nothing to worry about. President Obama is gonna fix the problems of Medicare and Medicaid by expanding the rolls of people on Medicare and Medicaid by millions and cutting the fees to doctors by half a trillion dollars. Problem solved! They\u2019re gonna cut fees even more, ma\u2019am, and more people are going to be enrolled. That\u2019s Obamacare, and it\u2019s coming before you know it. We learn one thing, ladies and gentlemen, from the disaster of the Obama election is bringing upon the nation. It is that elections have consequences far beyond the cosmetics and the feel-good and the psychological. And here\u2019s the dirty little secret. This is the dirty little secret real sad thing, and I mean this from the bottom of my sizeable beating heart. America will probably be able to survive Barack Obama, but America cannot survive the idiots who elected him.
