CALLER: Hi, Rush. How are ya?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Very well. Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Good! Thanks for taking my call.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You bet.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I just wanted to express my frustration with the Trump supporters who are constantly complaining about Ted Cruz “playing the rigged system” and “doing what the liberals would do,” and that\u2019s what they don\u2019t like. When Trump has all but admitted that he used to play the system which is rigged toward businesspeople who can make large donations to candidates who can get them what they need later, like his contributing to Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer…<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, now, I have to say, just in terms of logic, that\u2019s a good rejoinder. Trump has himself bragged. He has himself used as a point, “Well, that\u2019s the system! There are a lot of Democrats where I live; I had to donate to Democrats. That\u2019s how the system worked.” That\u2019s a fair point you\u2019re making.<\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: They don\u2019t seem to see it, at all. It\u2019s like everything else, I guess. He\u2019s said that he can do what he is gonna do and they\u2019re gonna stay loyal to him.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, it\u2019s one of these things. When your guy does it, it\u2019s fine. When it\u2019s done to you, it\u2019s cheating. It\u2019s like if you\u2019ve got a guy named Roger Stone threatening delegates, that\u2019s cool.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (giggling)<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s using your power.<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s not thuggery when he does it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, but if Roger Stone does it to you? Well, that\u2019s not fair and it\u2019s rigged and what have you. I use Roger Stone generically here. I\u2019m just… I don\u2019t know what Stone does. I\u2019m just using the name generically. But that\u2019s actually a very good point. Are you a Cruz supporter?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I am. And I like to think of myself as a constitutional conservative.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: So I\u2019m planning this entire season a little frustrating.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me ask you —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yep!<\/p>\n

RUSH: We have 45 seconds. Let\u2019s play a game. Hypothetically, let\u2019s say Cruz pulls this off — just play the game here — and then the second or third ballot gets the nomination. Do you think there\u2019s any possibility of party unity after that? Do you think that there can be any way?<\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I think there can be with the conservatives who are maybe Trump supporters. Maybe not the people, the independents and the more liberal-leaning people that we think on people say that Trump is bringing in.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: But I think the conservatives would understand. Again, like you\u2019ve repeated over and over: We need to beat Hillary.<\/p>\n
