He was on CNBC\u2019s Power Lunch. The cohost, Michelle Caruso-Cabrera. She said to Barney Frank, &#8216;Will (this bill that you and Dodd just worked up here) <img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125114.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"350\" height=\"181\" class=\"alignright\"\/>prevent a future crisis?\u2019<\/p>\n<p>FRANK: It will make it wery, wery unlikely that we will have the same kind of crisis. There may be something new and different. But you could not have an AIG th\u2019situation, for example. One of the most important things we did is to change the whole set of rules that made the bad loans. Bad loans were at the heart of this. We had very th\u2019specific restrictions on bad subprime loans. We don\u2019t allow them. There will be no more AIGs being kept alive. Any institution that gets to the point where it can\u2019t pay its debts and the government has to step in will die, and we will then have to deal with the consequen\u2019thces but with funds that will be raised not from taxpayers, but from a\u2019thessments from financial institutions.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: But they don\u2019t have any money by definition! We\u2019re gonna bail out banks? That\u2019s another lying, stinking portion of this bill. We\u2019re going to bail out financial institutions \u2019cause they\u2019re going to put the money in the tank. Well, where do they get their money? They don\u2019t print it. It\u2019s all consumer money invested, whatever. But the gall of this guy! This was a problem book he created, and now he\u2019s blaming it on AIG and he\u2019s pretending he fixed the crisis that he created. It is outrageous. He says here (doing impression), &#8216;There may be something new and different. We have a whole set of rules to stop bad loans! They were the heart of it.\u2019 Yeah, the bad loans were the heart of it, and you demanded the bad loans be made! (sigh) One time. I know some of you are driven crazy by this. I\u2019m not. I\u2019m host. I like it. We\u2019re gonna play it.<\/p>\n<p>(Banking Queen parody song to the tune of Abba\u2019s Dancing Queen)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I actually think half the people claiming they don\u2019t like it actually do like it. They\u2019re just be contrarian, trying to control the program. Barney Frank, no doubt now, the Banking Queen. <\/p>\n<p>(Banking Queen song continues) <\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Oh, yeah, you remember this, long-timers.
