RUSH: This is Josh in Phoenix. You\u2019re next on the EIB Network. Josh, are you aware that there\u2019s a woman on the Milwaukee county board of supervisors that do not think you live in a border state?<\/p>\n

CALLER: She\u2019s very much wrong.<\/line><\/line>RUSH: Peggy West is her name, and she says she would support the Arizona law but you\u2019re a long way from the border so she can\u2019t support it.<\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: Um, I\u2019m not very far from the border at all, Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. You\u2019re Ground Zero.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s right. That\u2019s right. I want to know why Mr. Obama and mainstream media is not talking about the Buenos Aires Wildlife Refuge and how it\u2019s been taken over by the Mexican cartel.<\/p>\n

RUSH: The wildlife refuge where?<\/p>\n

CALLER: The Buenos Aires Wildlife Refuge. Americans are no longer able to go into the area. It\u2019s been closed down by local law enforcement, and local law enforcement says they have no longer have control over that area, and they\u2019re asking Obama for help, basically.<\/p>\n

RUSH: There\u2019s a wildlife refuge in Arizona, you\u2019re talking about?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir. It touches up to just below Tucson.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, but nobody can go into it now?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir. Nobody\u2019s allowed into it. Americans are not allowed into it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Why?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I guess out of fear that somebody might get hurt.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, wait. Are Mexicans allowed in there? Is that what you\u2019re telling me?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, the Mexican cartels are actually taking it over and are building forces down there and are basically at a standoff, they tell us.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Does Peggy West know about this in Milwaukee? I haven\u2019t heard of this. I assume Peggy West, she\u2019s on the board of supervisors in Milwaukee, would have to know about this. I had not heard this.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, they\u2019re basically at a standoff right now.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, so a Mexican… Maybe I have heard of this, just not described this way. But a Mexican cartel is being permitted to ramp up in a wildlife refugee where Americans are now no longer allowed to enter?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And it\u2019s a big standoff?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And Obama\u2019s in favor of it?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Obama refuses to answer to Sheriff Babeu down there, you know, asking for help basically. He says he\u2019s got no control over his own county, which is larger than the state of Connecticut.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wow. All right. Well, I\u2019m not going comment on this \u2019til I learn something about it and I haven\u2019t heard it. And I am far more comfortable admitting ignorance than I am commenting on something I do not know that\u2019s taken place. So let me look it up here. We still have Internet. We don\u2019t have any e-mail. But I can still look this up. Thanks for the call. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RU.S.H: Okay, here it is from the U.S. Fish &amp; Wildlife Service, June of this year. It\u2019s their website. ‘Recently there were reports in the news stating that the Buenos Aries National Wildlife Refuge was closed. This information is not correct. In early 2006, a small section of land (about 3% of the refuge) along the border was closed to visitation. However, no new restrictions are in place and the majority of the refuge remains open. Today, we are seeing a decline in violent activity in the southern most area thanks to ongoing cooperation between the U.S. Fish &amp; Wildlife Service and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.\u2019 <\/p>\n

Now, that\u2019s the Fish &amp; Wildlife Service website. That\u2019s the regime. What do we believe? Do we believe the caller, Josh, or do we believe the government? Normally we would believe the government, but what do you do? That\u2019s from June 2010. This is a little addendum. It\u2019s their normal website, which is (summarized), ‘We\u2019re the Fish and Wildlife Service and we\u2019re really great, and here\u2019s what we do and here\u2019s how you can get our pamphlet. You know, just about it to Pueblo, Colorado, and open drawer eight and say you want a Fish &amp; Wildlife Service Pamphlet!\u2019 It\u2019s that kinda stuff. Then off on the side is this, ‘By the way…\u2019 It doesn\u2019t look that way, but (paraphrased), ‘By the way, some people are saying we shut the place down and turned it over to the Mexicans — and it isn\u2019t true!\u2019 (laughs) I hate to admit this, but I\u2019m torn. The guy on the phone sounded like a nice guy, Josh. He could be a kook, could not be a kook. But then we\u2019ve got the Obama administration, and the Fish and Wildlife Service is a bunch of environmentalist wackos to begin with. So I don\u2019t know what to do.
