Just mere moments ago in discussing the replacement of McChrystal with Petraeus, I said, <img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125115.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"174\" class=\"alignright\"\/>&#8216;There goes the July 2011 withdrawal deadline.\u2019 It ain\u2019t going to happen. We\u2019re not going to come home by July 2011. This is Petraeus\u2019 war now, not Obama\u2019s. Petraeus is there to save Obama\u2019s bacon. They can\u2019t win this thing by July 2011. Let\u2019s go to the audio sound bites, press conference today, reporter: &#8216;President Obama, does the change in command change your timetable for withdrawal?\u2019<\/p>\n<p>OBAMA: What we saw yesterday was a change in personnel but not a change in policy. We did not say that starting July 2011 suddenly there would be no troops from the United States or allied countries in Afghanistan. We didn\u2019t say we\u2019d be switching off the lights and closing the door behind us. General Petraeus understands that strategy because he helped shape it. And my expectation is that he will be outstanding in implementing it, and we will not miss a beat.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Oh-ho-ho. I\u2019m telling you the base is not going to like this. I told you we\u2019re not going to get out of there in July of 2011, and the president just said so. Just like I told you they\u2019re not gonna close Gitmo. We\u2019re not getting out of there in July of 2011. Told you. In fact, when he said it the first time, I didn\u2019t think he really meant it.
