It\u2019s fascinating, Rush. It\u2019s a wonderful walk through the last 20 years. You\u2019ve been at the eye of the storm. You\u2019ve been the wind beneath the wings of conservative thought. It\u2019s a pleasure to meet so many of your friends and associates, your family, your wonderful brother David, your father, your grandfather, and I will just tell you that for those of us who are raising children&#8230; You know, I\u2019m a recovering leftist. You\u2019ve helped in that recovery. For those of us who are raising children that aren\u2019t gonna take up your eight-week challenge to actually listen to you every day to get a sense of your wonderful humor and your encyclopedic purview of the day\u2019s events, I think that book is a wonderful Memorial Day present, Christmas present. It\u2019s a wonderful way to introduce people to you, to your &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: What\u2019s the &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: &#8212; Horatio Alger story.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I forget, Ron, what\u2019s the title of the book? <\/p>\n<p>CALLER: The title of the book is Rush Limbaugh: An Army of One.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Oh, yeah, that\u2019s it. Rush Limbaugh: An Army of One.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (laughing) <\/p>\n<p>RUSH: (laughing) I wanted you to say it, not me. <\/p>\n<p>CALLER: You\u2019re the broadcast Maha Rushie.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Thank you very much. I appreciate it. Zev Chafets, the author of the book, sends me an update every day on his media appearances and he hasn\u2019t had one yet. (laughs) He was scheduled to go on F. Chuck Todd\u2019s MSNBC show yesterday. He was canceled en route. I think he did appear with Brian Lehrer in New York on PBS this morning. I haven\u2019t heard how it went. But he\u2019s been blackballed. He has been blackballed.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s an interesting story. When the publisher, Sentinel, announced the book would be published on May 25th (this past Tuesday) their office was swamped with 200 media requests in the first half hour. They had not seen anything like this. Then excerpts of the book leaked out, and then the book was published, and people saw that it was not a book that was critical; that it was a book, essentially, fair. It\u2019s not a puff piece by any stretch of the imagination, essentially fair. So all the media who had wanted Zev to appear have canceled or have not scheduled in the first place.
