RUSH: Ted in Lynchburg, Virginia, great to have you, sir. How are you doing?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m doing good. Say, we\u2019re in a battle between traditional American individualism that we see in the Declaration and the Constitution and the Bill of Rights — personified by people like you and Trump — against the collectivists who want to fundamentally transform America. Theirs is the language of “you didn\u2019t build that,” “it takes a village,” victimology, white privilege. We see it even in this COVID thing. We have, on the one side, everybody has to lock down; everybody has to wear a mask —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — as opposed to what Governor DeSantis is doing in Florida<\/a> where individuals have to take responsibility. Those are two diametrically opposed worldviews, and we\u2019re in a battle to the death between those two right now.<\/p>\n

\"\"RUSH: That\u2019s exactly right — and it is a battle to the death. This country is hanging in the balance here.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yep.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Whatever terminology it takes to reach people, I\u2019m all for it: collectivism, Marxism, communism. I used to shy away from using the term “communism,” because I thought too many people just automatically rejected it as something that was not possible. But that\u2019s exactly what Black Lives Matter is.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Ooh, Rush! Rush! The other day when you said, “What gives that Black Lives Matter founder the right to say Trump isn\u2019t qualified?” She was saying that because she\u2019s certified politically correct, and he\u2019s an individualist, and that\u2019s the basis she has to criticize him. Not anything she\u2019s ever done with her life but just her politically correct theology, basically, is what it is.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. Doesn\u2019t have to have accomplished anything.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Nope.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Doesn\u2019t have to know anything.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No. And the chickification? That\u2019s part of the process. You know, all this groupthink, the politically correct fascists that say, “You can\u2019t speak your mind! You have to only say what we\u2019ve approved.” That\u2019s collectivism. That\u2019s diametrically opposed to traditional American individualism. That\u2019s why they have to tear down statues. These statues are honoring individuals.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: They don\u2019t care who they are. They want to tear \u2019em down.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Why does individualism scare \u2019em so much? Why does self-reliance scare them so much?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Because they\u2019re not strong people. They don\u2019t have the inner framework. They weren\u2019t raised with faith. They weren\u2019t raised to know their history, and they\u2019re flailing. If you look at history, collectivists always come to the fore when a society is breaking down and large sections of it don\u2019t really have the internal fortitude to really live their lives alone. They have to be in part of a group.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, Ted, that\u2019s so well said. I\u2019m really glad you called, \u2019cause that\u2019s so right on. As I say: Whatever terminology it takes to explain it to people I\u2019m looking at where Ted called from: Lynchburg. How do you think that town got its name?
