RUSH: F. Chuck Todd — oh, by the way, F. Chuck Todd today was scheduled to interview Zev Chafets, the author of Rush Limbaugh: An Army of One. F. Chuck has a show on MSNBC from <\/a>nine to ten a.m. And Zev sent me a note saying he was on the way over there to the studio to do the interview and they called and canceled. And I said, ‘Why do you think they canceled you?\u2019 And he said, ‘Rush, you know these people, you know the media. They don\u2019t fear anything. They don\u2019t fear a foreign attack. They don\u2019t fear a terrorist attack. They don\u2019t fear any domestic event as much as they fear disapproval from their peers.\u2019 Meaning, F. Chuck was probably worried that other media people would give him the business for having Zev Chafets on to promote the book and probably is already getting indications, ‘F. Chuck, what are you doing? You\u2019re going to put this guy on? This is a great Limbaugh book. It puts Limbaugh in a good light.\u2019 <\/p>\n

So they canceled Zev Chafets, the author of Rush Limbaugh: An Army of One, while he was on his way to the interview. And apparently a lot of people have booked Zev and have canceled or haven\u2019t followed up on their initial indication or request. See, it\u2019s just like this. They assume somebody writing a book on me is writing a hit piece and so they can\u2019t wait to get the author on. Then they read the book and say, ‘Wait a minute, this isn\u2019t a hit piece, why, this guy was nice to Limbaugh, this guy, we can\u2019t put this guy on. This doesn\u2019t fit the template, Limbaugh a good guy? No.\u2019 So they\u2019ve canceled. Zev Chafets, Rush Limbaugh: An Army of One, Zev Chafets: A Journalist of One.
